Very surprised that the increased investment from Sustainable Capital to 9.43% or a massive 73428150 shares has not kept the momentum in the SP moving. SC who according to their website specialise in acquiring substantial stakes in undervalued African companies should have had a larger and more profound effect on the share price - they have done the research and confidently increased their holding so why is the share being held back? Who would possibly be selling with news generally good from Tanzania, gold price rising, equity market still unsure of itself and great potential within the company? My own view is that the MM’s are either trying to build a position in the hope of good news or trying to fill another large buy? Nothing else makes sense.
If you are concerned read Sustainable Capital’s own words:-
‘Our investment philosophy is that the sustainability performance of countries and companies is fundamentally linked to long-term investment returns, yet inefficiently priced by African financial markets’.
