Thanks for the condescension.
I was only in mainstream agencies for thirty years.
And winning the very first accounts by Ryanair and Lidl in the UK among around forty other wins.
Please in no more than fifty words describe EXACTLY what s4 do .
I'm afraid the one word DIGITAL won't cut it. Tell me in detail exactly what they do.
It's blindingly obvious what WPP do , I have followed them since 1983.
on the LSE site we can see the volume of algorythm buys/sells, each one a commission earning trade by a broker for a punter. I have watched this from the start and have lost a fortune, on paper. It has been very annoying to watch the herd instinct of the many following the blast of algorythm buys and sells , mainly the latter to enable them to come back in later at a lower price. I appreciate that this is the way the market works but it is galling to watch over time. Re the audit, old fashioned advertising is easy to audit because the volume of ads placed is a minute fraction of ads placed in the digital world . Simply to carry out the base level audit must be a nightmare. Having been in from the start and been worth a fortune at one stage, I am sticking with it. I watched WPP from day 1 - I had to ask my Dad in 1982(?) why an ex Saatchi person would buy a plc called Wire Plastics and Products. I am not giving up on his genius now.
Probably the only global resource for international brands , but there are many very small agencies offering it. But if you are Estee Lauder or P and G and you require global best practice , you choice is limited to S4. as far as I know.
Beyond the magic words "digital marketing" or even "cutting edge digital marketing" I doubt 1% of shareholders could on the back of an envelope explain clearly EXACTLY what s4 do for their clients. I have thirty five years in adland and ten in digital - and my step son is in a rival though much smaller agency - and even now I can just about explain it
reference "you might learn a few things if you took the time to understand how the market works..." perhaps you could enlighten me , I have been in this share - well into six figures worth - from the start and am continually annoyed by what look like concert parties,,,
in my deeply cynical world and without a shed , sorry shred ,looks like around 3pm the brokers flicked the algorythem "sell" - button and headed off to the pub, happy in the knowledge that a good days tanking had been done , so they can come back tomorrow and buy loads a good price for their clients ,,,,
IMHO obviously and without a shed, sorry shred, of evidence ,,,,
