I remember being on the Easy J inaugural flight to Kefflevik, we were greeted by the water jets of the fire trucks as we approached the terminal. Thankfully, the captain had forewarned us. Mmmmm. If he hadn't. what would we have made of that! I didn't even know I was on the first flight. No, we didn't get a free drink or anything, just a special ticket to mark the occasion. Mind you, at £64 return I couldn't argue. Even Marararrabbab could afford that flight [just as long as he didn't stay in a hotel or by any food or drink once there].

In fact, taking a 360 view, what this story implies is that the commission has had a response to when the EU will be allowed open access and has been either told 'not for a long time', or 'there are still loads of issues requiring time to fix', or maybe even that the commission has discovered the corridor for the UK is closer to being opened than it is for the EU.

It just goes to show what utterly arrogant little shi.ts these people are at the end of the day. The commission expected the US to treat the EU as a priority adopting the EU attitude to the UK and rest of the world. They have nothing to show and now they are starting to wag their finger at America like they try to wag their finger at the UK. I've been very vocal about what is really going on in the commission and every now and then the mask slips to reveal their true superiority attitude looking down their noses at everybody else.

When, when, the US opens the corridor to the UK FIRST, can you just imagine the response from the commission? Everything about the commissions existence at the moment is putting the UK second and knocking us down as hard as possible as often as possible in retaliation for Brexit. Let us hope that the saboteurs don't switch tactic trying to impose and spook lockdown on travel by getting their european friends to ban UK people or imposing sudden hotel quarantines. This is very much one to watch your backs over. The lockdown lobby group are still very active and still completely obsessed with trying to eliminate the virus here and abroad. The difference between the vanity middle class and really rich people is whether you can get the ride set aside for your own personal use for half an hour. If you can pull that off, you know you are somebody! Incidently, if you ever rise form the bedsit and make it marraababa, remember the trick of instructing the ride operator to fill up the rest of the seats from the queue rather than only your family being the only figures on the ride. Much less hostility when you get of the ride and you won't need the suites around you.

So, you wish to believe that no British families go to Disney World or Land during the half-term or end of term school holidays which can stretch out over several weeks as different schools have different term windows? OK, you are free to believe that. And... no Brits head off to states on holidays after the 'end' of summer [which let us define to be 31st August for the sake of argument]. If I look back at BA flights pre-pandemic, I will observe the retirement of the fleet between the end of one summer all the way through the start of another next year? Is that correct? My intuition and past travel experience tells me otherwise to the extent that I have found it difficult to get seats and affordable hotels and car hire 'out of season' because to a large extent these days there isn't much of an out of season any more, just the family vacations give way to the non-family vacations. Half-term! End of term! And there are many holiday options for adults only too. For many, Spring and Fall are better times to visit the Southern states. I think you are clutching at straws. It is horses for courses, I prefer Iceland in the winter to catch the northern lights and enduring the bracing environment which is much more stunning with a dusting of frost or snow.

I did hear a report last week that the travel review was being pulled forward earlier than normal this time. But other reports like News night last night were saying Thursday. So there could be a sudden news release today, but I am putting money on tomorrow. I am also going for a wild outlier and guessing the industry pressure is ruling the day and so a significant change in the testing regime will be announced.

Australia is proving that trying to stopping the virus is a pointless exercise. Vaccination and expect to lose people in low numbers, exactly the same as any other disease. Personally my first got to is to look at volume of trading. No real volume, no real interest elsewhere. Not for me.

So what we really have is the other side hitting back against the lockdown lobby - although it is Big Boss doing the hitting back which does carry a great deal more weight than some faceless nobody further down the ranks. Market reaction is null and void, well we have seen plenty of very welcome moves before only to have them brutally sabotaged just days latter. As long as the sentiment in the lockdown lobby remains to seek ways to simply stop foreign travel full-stop, then the market is going to remain suspicious. The revised travel list and policy will be revealed Wednesday and maybe the 10% spike will happen then, I was certainly jumping the gun thinking news rumours would be taken on board. So my plan to take the next big Easy J spike and then switch to IAG ahead of a US change in travel policy remains on track. It is all about the timing. If I miss the switcheroo it doesn't really matter as I will still have cashed in nicely on Easy J. Then, cash-in, then stay OUT of all travel stocks and anything connected with what the environmentalist lobby hate running up to the cop meeting. BBC and others continues to ramp up the hysteria. An unusually higher number of people I have talked to about the hysteria are looking straight through it for what it is - a blatant attempt at thought control designed to dupe people in to a way of thinking and way of life they would never otherwise consider based on science cons and fakery. The more the climate change lobby try to push it, the more people are becoming resistant to it. It is a fascinating thing to watch. The twisted reporting and fiddling of 'averages' and highly selective cherry picking of data and data windows over wild fires, ice packs, weather events and so on is not fooling people as easily as it once did. And if all that climate change crap is going to be used to impose restrictions on people's freedom to travel as an when they wish, well, did you see the trouble out on the street in July as people demanded the end of lockdowns in many cities across Europe? Yes, all confused with anti-vaxxers jumping on the protest bandwagon but removing travel and making it a privilege is going to kick off big time. Just look at skyscanner now in the states, in Asia, in Europe - and that is with significant pandemic restrictions in place. Travel stocks are going to bounce around like crazy if such travel restriction policies are proposed in November, and this one might just be the last straw and finally this totally one-sided lie will be challenged head on and some real world reality returned to the debate. The mass hysteria will have to end eventually.

thanks ger-paul, I was being economical with internet ink short handing the point. Now, how many bets that the lockdown lobby will switch a green watch to red suddenly in a prime tourist destination? We should be celebrating and breathing a big sigh of relief, but recent history tells us to be cautious instead. But the other major impediment to travel is the testing which serves no practical purpose and should be removed entirely. Any changes to a countries status is based on the reporting from within the country, not from the negative tests of travellers. Indeed, those negative tests don't seem to have informed any decision on any travel policy. So what are they for?

The lockdown lobby has just been dealt a significant loss of face. They had been publicly promoting their sabotage schemes, whipped up full media backing and were ruling the roost. Major come down when the boss says 'no'. How will they retaliate? Retaliate they will as we have seen on several occasions before. Boris is not doing a reshuffle and is not removing the problems from cabinet.
