Unless there is a sudden change in testing policy, this is going a long way down. It seems that the deliberate intervention to keep travel limited is going to be stretched out and kill off the summer. And looking at the ridiculous response of New Zealand to a single case of covid, it is clear there are large areas of the world that just don't get it and still believe the spread of the virus can be controlled. It is a move in the right direction, but I have a sense that the office of fair trading review is designed to take time playing out the sabotage of the return to freedom to travel and small reductions in the price paid today isn't going to have the impact as most would desire. There is no sound reason for the US policy, yet it is clear they are looking to extend the opening up as far down the road as possible. There are two forces at work here, lockdown and open up. It is not a binary thing either, different institutions, advisory groups and governments seem to have a mix of both lobbies. The lockdown lobby seems to most often have the influence, and when it doesn't, it finds a round-about way to implement it's desire for restriction and lockdown as far as it can get away with. The traffic light list, and abuse of, the testing regime in terms of first cost and then inconvenience. A significant increase in the red list hotel cost is another case in hand as ther lockdown lobby were seeing far too many people travelling from red list countries. It is interesting to note just how many people are prepared to pay the money for the hotel quarantine! It shows that should free non-test flying return, every seat will be full on every single available aircraft for some time. And I suspect the overall continuous decline in the sp across the sector are indicative of more professional analysts also concluding there are variables at play here which are actively designed to effectively cap aircraft travel. If it is linked to the environmentalist stated aim to significantly reducing air flights for everyone, this will start to be exposed as we get closer to the cop meeting. There is no doubt that there is a full on major propaganda campaign underway in the mass media, especially TV and the BBC. People I know who were broadly on board with all the climate change stuff are openly saying that can 'feel' it and notice it. They are becoming aware they are being sold too and never heard of before questioning of some of the claims and even the supposedly established science is being questioned. Intense propaganda campaigns do tend to backfire.

I would expect similar results in other countries. It does seem like many countries don't have the courage to pull the lockdown plug, it has become set in and chasing infections established policy. It is the new safe place to be. UK has mostly broken out, lets just hope the rest of the world accepts the positive trajectory our 'experiment' shows and more soit. We need to open up all the borders and get through the herd immunity barrier. I feel for the Aussies and Zealanders, they have not held back the tide, only delayed further the spikes. The rest of the world will be well out of it while they continue in lockdown for another full year trying to protect their health services. I can not find one comment from reliable sources holding up the antipodean model as an example to follow.

You are wrong, plain simple and absolute. You presented no context for your use of. You even assigned the 'hoofs' to the horsemen rather than the horses. Further indicating you do not know what you are talking about and that there wasn't an clever, clever use of the misspelling.

It doesn't matter how you try and twist it, there was no context to direct the reader to cast the vocabulary in any 'traditional' sense and therefore an editor would have directed you to use the main form, hooves.

As I correctly pointed out, the context you used was incorrect. There was nothing in the context to warrant what you call a 'traditional' use in the prose. Your posting was in the contemporary sense and therefore hooves was the correct form to use.

I would suggest Manchester is also selected as it is well served with short haul from EU states and being in the UK does not have EU commission breathing down it's neck in Dublin. If Ireland does do an in/out referendum then I can see a lot of hub traffic being incentivised to the ROI.
