The reviews have been every 3 weeks and therefore the 'expected' next three week dates is mid September, but there is nothing in the Downing St diary, but the rumour is this, "The traffic light system could be scrapped at the start of October according to reports in The Telegraph." Whether this is announced mid-September or the review is put back to end September is unknown. However, if it was announced mid-September, that would create a two-week dead zone with everybody trying to move their flights back. That would be awful news management so I will go with the info I saw saying the next travel review will be on 29th/30th September but the expected news will be well leaked before hand - well it already has! But the changes are not set in stone and this government will not be bounced by fishing news stories to inadvertently make policy announcements.

There is not the shortage of spare parts as claimed for car production lines. Very few people are buying ev cars and disused airfields are filling up fast with unsold cars. They are actually running out of space. Relevance? There are strong indications that the forced change to 'green crap' is not going very well. The hysterical zealots however are in fullon religious fanatical mode so they will simply push the agenda harder and harder. Air travel is already squarely in their crosshairs and as the hysterics get more desperate and hysterical then they will seek to impact and reduce air travel more and more. In reality, people trying to deny there is a chance IAG is going to raise more money despite the action of Easy J are somewhat deluded. A huge chunk of the summer income has been lost. IAG with the likes of BA have a lot of overheads. Economy of scale works well for BA when all the seats are full. It is a license to print money which is why Branson set up Virgin. He only ever set up businesses with proven easy money returns. But if those seats are not earning revenue, suddenly the model is flipped on its head. The talk of the short haul economy setup is a very important signal that BA, IAG, is looking at a very big black hole in the finances and is looking for some sort of quick fix to fill it. I will speculate the rights issue will talk a lot about raising money for the new venture form various angles with the one single paragraph talking about 'bolstering' the groups finances as the uncertainty continues. A classic smoke and mirrors. The rights issue from IAG will be to stay afloat, and let's not beat about the bush anymore. You cannot run such a large organisation without the income. It just doesn't happen. The other option is to sell off BA. Either way IAG is heading into significant financial trouble and the market can smell it and events around IAG in the sector are flashing warning lights too.

Teddy, you don't appear to understand the most fundamental basis of the business models. IAG has hubs because it has long haul flights. It feeds the long haul passengers to the hubs. Easy jet does not serve the long haul sector. It is a point to point business, technically it doesn't actual do return tickets, it sells two point to point flights on the same transaction. There is therefore no central hub but many regional hubs, rather like the local bus system around the UK. You wouldn't have the busses on Tyneside sharing the hub in Liverpool. So the buses in Tyneside have a hub in Tyneside, and the Liverpool busses a hub in Liverpool. The 'long haul' buses will have a hub in Victoria London, and a few more in places a day's ride away. I am very surprised you don't understand the fundamental difference between them.
