Are you a crest trader Lloyd? Going to increase your pension lump sum an order of magnitude or two? News events after silent speculation with such high profile shares don't come along very often.

The biggest winner tomorrow, probably in the 10% ep on the day region, in my estimation, will be Easy Jet - confirmed they are on the radar. If they are on IAG's radar, they will be on others. There will be a lot of carpet bagging going on. Worth a punt of a few grand!

So many buy orders will be placed by pis not reading between the lines or taking the 360, they will be chasing get rich quick rainbows,

In the first few mins, spike in the 25% region, so you might see 185, even 190. There will be plenty of iis to sell a fraction of a percentage of their holding for a silly prece, and then restore tha holding half an hour latter at below their own level. Sell orders of other pis will be triggered at the +15% and above, but by the time they are traded, it may be 10% down because there will be so many sell orders triggered. There will be a lot of cut-your-loss orders already in place.

It is going to be a roller coaster. On thing is absolutely for certain - a lot of private investors are going to be milked dry tomorrow morning.

I've never claimed to have any workings Benji. It is you chartists that claim to have graphical proof - except they only ever turn up after the event. Prove us all wrong and post your graph and crayon lines ahead of the event. Hey, you might get lucky. And now, there is only two scenarios left to base your prediction on!!!!

I haven't got anything 'wrong'. Everything I have said since CS suggested there might be a rights issue has been confirmed. EVERYTHING. IAg could not respond to the speculation because they were in negotiations with the bank and a RI was on the table, and has only been demoted in the hierarchy of options. Everything I said about reporting rules is in print in the exchange rules, I even posted them. So exactly what did I get wrong?

I have learned many, many years ago about putting in stop losses or buy orders. What you get compared to what you expected can be very different. I haven't used them for years as I have no control over what will happen. Your place in the queue at the point of settlement is completely outside your control. Many online retail brokers do not process orders for 10 or even 15 mins after markets open [check the ts&cs] because they can be extremely volatile. And so for tomorrow morning. There are sophisticated trading desks out there that time there sudden buy or sell around those windows when high activity is expected.

If anybody is going to have a go on the markets at the opening or even place an execution order, bear in mind the market is a cesspit of vipers adept at separating pis form their money on a permanent basis.

I issue the friendly advice as many on here clearly don't know what they are doing and may very well think some sort of easy money is to be made given the RI clarification. Making money is NEVER easy. Tread carefully.

Careful what you wish for Lloyd, there are some sophisticated actors out there ....

Odd question LLoyd, I suppose you would rather people didn't consider the 360. Mindlessly dump their entire pension pot into IAG 8:00am tomorrow morning? Get that sp spiking as high as possible for a quick LLoyd cashin? Certainly don't want gullible pis exercising caution or due diligence do you? Llyd, gotta keep the 360, need to keep the whole picture in mind and how the iis will interpret the picture to second guess how they will move the price. We don't know what has been agreed with banks yet. Everybody is now assuming there will be no dilution. All we know is the existing shareholders will not be asked for more emergency money in the near future, but that broker was not the only commentator saying out loud IAG was likely going to need additional financing and RI was mentioned in a number of credible news sources independently. The CS broker may well have only be restating what was a full on rumour already out there. The response to the speculation is welcome, from a narrative point of view, and it will most likely result in positive pi sp movement. However, how will the iis read it?

I read the Mail article - 26bn v company valuation of 7bn [ish] . But the spokes-nonaligned said they were kicking the ball down the road to June 22 before the next review of payments, which are instead of divvies. However, there is a clear and present danger there which even the Transatlantic routes are not going to cover.
