It is quite fascinating watching the response of some people as the share price goes up and down. It's like two crowds of football supporters. When the increase team is winning, they cheer, sing and are flooded with endorphins. They also become quite aggressive with insults and jeers at the decrease fans. The decrease fans are few in number, but they do too become more vocal when their team is in front. They tend to not be so aggressive when losing but will answer back loudly. And then there are the corporate box visitors. Interested to see both sides of the sp battling it out, sometimes cheering on one side or the other, but as likely to discuss the weather, politics and the state of the economy over a prawn sandwich. The corporate box visitor tends to be on the receiving end of a lot of nasty angry insults and attacks from both sides of fans who see it as very unfair that corporate box man gets a warm comfy cubicles filled with the beautiful people, soft chairs and waited on with drinks and food. The corporate box visitor in return smiles, raises his glass and mouths derogatory insults at the plebs standing in the cold, beneath him, as they look up.
When the market closes, the game ends. Some fans go home, some camp out ready for the next game the following day. It looks just like that some times.
