They didn't know they had another payment coming in at the start of February. In reality that was when the ship was loading for the second shipment. The first payment took two weeks to arrive.

So there is no way the 6m was to see them through January only.

No business manages cash flow in that way

Apparently KMUK, and therefore LMLB , were low on cash but only retained 6m from the 27m first shipment, presumably knowing no more cash would be received for months

Apparently costs are massively high and we don't know if we are making any money

Those two statements above, both made by the negative side of this board, are mutually exclusive, so can't both be true.

What is far more likely is that we are making lots of cash at current spod price and opex is low

But you don't have a short open

So at 0.2p, which will likely never happen, you are just going to vanish, having wasted god only knows how many hours of your life for literally nothing.

Wrong bfd, we have no info about funds in to kmuk so we also dont know about funds out. kmuk could be pumping funds back into LMLB

Go read the accounts for KMUK

They contain two separate figures. One for investment which is plant build. The second is for operational expenses of KMUK . The opex figure, including the 15m payment to the government was c19.5m in 2024 FY.

So we know exactly how much KMUK spent in FY2024. The figure for this year will be less as the plant was largely complete in 2024.

We also know that LMLB retained 6m dollars from shipment 1, which is presumably sufficient to fund the operation for a few months between shipments

Mac I am deliberately erring on the side of caution about shipment 2 and id guess you are correct

Whichever figures are shown though, it just shows that the 15m dispute isn't particularly significant at all in financial terms

KMUK has just received 21m dollars for shipment 1. They will likely receive the same again atleast for shipment 2 shortly and a similar amount again in April.

KMUK total operating expenses in FY 2024, excluding the 15m payment to the government, were c4.5m dollars.

So in no way is this 15m dispute critical to them or to Kodal.

The reaction in SP terms is plain stupid but that is typical on AIM

Yes George I agree it should be UK arbitration and a split decision is most likely.

No money should come out of Kodal as it would be pointless.

Kodal's maximum real exposure is 51% of 15m and in essence Bernard is arguing with himself to a degree as a director of both companies

The loan will be repaid either way I think.

Kodal's actual downside is 15m x .51, as in essence, should they lose, they will be paying money into a company they own 49% of.

I can't see any way Hainan can justifiably claim 15m twice
