lol I should hope not. My only ever attempts at day trading were 2 stocks bought on the recommendation of a close friend - both a disaster and never again.

I'm coming from a slightly different angle and thinking more of those who rarely post or who may be new to Scancell. The posts on the science today have been excellent and am sure they're appreciated by all but I'd hate for anyone to think that it's necessary to understand the science at that level and in that detail to get what Scancell is about. Nor would I want anybody to be put off posting anything unrelated to the science.

There are plenty of legitimate topics for discussion that may be unrelated to the science but are vital for Scancell's success and I'm sure would be welcomed here. I think you'd probably agree with that.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher highly commended for their work on Amryt's acquisition of Aegerion:-

I have been out all day and have just got back and caught up with the bb.

Firstly, in your 11.31 you posted a link to a set of claims, but they're an old set from 2017 and have been amended at least 3 times since then with some of them being knocked back by the examiner. You need to look at the document submitted on 28th August 2020 as these are the claims that have been approved for grant.

Most of the discussion seems to be centred around a DNA version of Moditope - is that correct? Are you able to tell us exactly what you asked LD in your email - ie. your precise wording?

Finally, I haven't read back over the whole debate as it seems to go back over several days but if the above is correct, wouldn't it be more useful to look at the patent covering nucleic acids rather than this one?

It's only a month since Scancell issued 163m shares at 5.5p and at some point the share was always going to take a breather and consolidate. There is only so much PR and so much news that can be released and we have the AGM fast approaching. Traditionally, Scancell always publish new research or announce news around the AGM so perhaps it's just a question of timing.

lol yes was about to say the same - a scientist with an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent and no wonder you've invested in Scancell :)

Following on from my previous post, yet more research on the FG88 glycan has been published today, this time involving researchers from RMIT University, Australia.

The paper, 'Molecular and structural basis for Lewis glycan recognition by a cancer-targeting antibody' was published in the peer-reviewed Biochemical Journal. Haven't had a chance to download the full pdf. and suspect that it's way beyond my level of understanding in any case. However, further evidence that plenty is going on with these mAbs.

Have finally had a chance to read and take in your post last night on the difference between chimeric and humanised mAbs and it's starting to make sense so thanks very much! Also helped to visualise the different types of antibody and the diagrams in the link below were useful alongside the one in your post.
