The flip side is that those shares are now being held by a committed long term investor and whilst there may not have been any significant increase in the SP, there certainly would have been a drop if they had hit the open market. So whatever way you want to look at it, it is positive.

Another possibility is L&G - from memory they originally held around 16m shares and had already reduced their holding below the notifiable threshold.

Regarding the wording of the RNS and in particular the sentence you mentioned:-

That doesn't mean there are any individuals who are associated with Diggle buying - it just refers to the Vulpes Fund. So all we have seen today is the Vulpes Fund increase their holding from around 77.5 m to 80.5 m. The wording is confusing, hope this makes sense.

Botski - yep, assume timing was driven by the fact that yesterday's RNS meant Martin Diggle was no longer inside and Vulpes were free to trade.

Chelsea - I suspect that Vulpes have been waiting to make a purchase for a while but couldn't due to the above. Re. your 14.27, why do you think this makes an April funding less likely?

Nothing on twitter but am pretty sure CH did mention 2020 for the SCIB2 trial during his Investival presentation and I believe this is the first indication of timescales we have had from either Scancell or CRUK.

The deal was announced back in Dec 2017 but CRUK had to wait for Scancell to finalise the nanoparticle delivery method and that took until May 2019. Even if CRUK set to work immediately, we know that it takes up to a year to manufacture ImmunoBody vaccines so that takes us to May 2020 before the vaccine is available for clinical use. Hopefully the trial will then commence early H2 but with timescales above, it's easy to see how it could slip to later in the year.

Firstly, Duggan bought 75% of the Company at the current market price. $50 million of funding with no discount is pretty remarkable.

Much more importantly though, how many other AIM bios are you aware of with an asset in phase III trials? Out of those, how many are planning to recruit over 1300 patients? I haven't checked, but am pretty sure it's zero. That's because it's very difficult for AIM listed bios to raise sufficient funds to take any product beyond phase I/II let alone into phase III. The very few who do make it to a successful phase III, still have a mountain to climb. I think retail investors often seriously underestimate the money, time, skills and expertise required to turn good phase III results into a commercial product.

Summit now find themselves with a way forward, a billionaire philanthropic majority shareholder with deep pockets and a contact book stuffed full of useful names. Of course they'll need further funding at some stage, but you have to ask whether they are now in a better or worse position to secure that funding than they were prior to this transaction? Is Ridinilazole now more or less likely to ever make it to market?

Redx's BTK inhibitor which was sold to Loxo Oncology in 2017 has now produced its first human data with interim results from the ongoing phase I/II linical trial. The results were presented yesterday at the American Society Hematology Annual Meeting (ASH).

Of course Redx was forced into a fire sale of RXC005 to take it out of administration and perhaps these results give an indication of the true potential cost of that whole sorry episode. It was sold for $40m but unfortunately without any provision for milestone or royalty payments. On the positive side, it's great to see a product developed by Redx achieving early success and it has been the focus of much attention at ASH. Hopefully that bodes well and will generate some interest in Redx's other products.

Also 2nd RNS (total voting rights) suggests some share options have been exercised with total shares in issue slightly increasing by approx. 36k to 47275317.

The loss of nearly 1000 mostly highly skilled jobs, loss of prestige, potential loss of influence, possibility of further job losses as companies who had located to London to be near the EMA follow suit, impact on the local economy etc. ,etc., etc................and most of all, no matter what happens with Brexit, it's completely irreversible.

That'll do for starters, but at this stage in their development, I'm struggling to see how it can have any impact on Scancell's share price.

There are many concerns arising from the relocation of the EMA but have to say that I don't think the impact on Scancell's share price features heavily.
