Also if you think about Jpm and shorting, for them in a climate of uncertainty shorting is probably the easiest money.
Choose a thousand companies and short them , odds are you will make on 80% of the shorts, easy money!

These last few trading days have been very interesting!
On the one hand you have the shorts trying to keep it down and on the other hand you have the buyers getting the bargains ( buyers being institution’s my guess).
All the weak pi’s who had to sell have gone!
To me that means one thing BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me get my head round this, if and at the moment seems possible this mine is a 50m Oz mine!
At 500k Oz a year means it would take 100 years to mine at $1800 a Oz .

I was just using these figures as a example, the fact they are still in jv’s together shows negotiations are still on the table!
All I was insinuating was that even if they were 40% apart they could both give a bit !
Me I still think the figure will be higher.
But that’s my view and so far I have been wrong!lol

Take it if we have a valuation of a $100m and they have a valuation of $60m then a agreement of $80m makes sense.

I have been thinking about this and to me I now believe this will not happen, I think a last minute deal will be done!
The reason’s for this is in my view, both parties are clever people and I think they would look at both figures, from both sides of the fence!
Now 20% is a big variation, so if they can juggle it and get within the 20% it makes good business sense!
ie Newcrest get it 20% cheaper or we get 20% more, rather than risk the arbitration.
If this makes sense!
Just musing while waiting for my missus to get ready.

Hopefully Shaun has been here before and I would imagine if he thought there was no way of getting what he considers Fmv, he would of taken there offer and moved on.
I don’t think he is the type who would want to tie up time and money in courts!
Just my opinion and could be wrong
