Afraid I agree with zccax. Too many media outlets really keen to stick the boot in on MTRO and don't know what they can produce tomorrow that'd be outstanding. Going to be a workmanlike results... not worth risking the drop for a few %.
Probably make more on getting in on the oversold drop (if there is one).
Still only real news that'll make this rise is a fresh BoD. Even the pals of Hill must be wanting him out by now.
don't know what 'legitimate' means? Just saying that identifying it, it's current locations, date for arrival and proof that the company have the costs covered is the least that BoD could deliver this week, if they're not going to buy some shares.
Just stop teh promotion of the company being taken solely by pi's posting endless 'positives' on the company's behalf as we all know where that got everyone for the past 12 months?
'afternoon, all. See my name being taken in vain while I'm elsewhere on the bb.
Erm... so, well done, all on the rise today. Makes me think that the company does best when the BoD say nothing... :)
Unfortunately, they must be due to say something? Share buys should be due before weekend if they too advantage of their miserable performance in charge of the sp (there... that's the 'trolling' sorted).
So, now that 5/2's been reached you have a situation where there are some in profit and a lot on a smaller loss. So, news needs to arrive, pronto or there'll be selling.
As for the oil being there... it was at 20p... it was during spudding last year... it was when the MEngo was meant to generate £1million profit per month.
Yes, of course, one can say that's history... but the historians are still in charge and, in spite of the oil being there, it's the operating of the company that affects the sp. Obvious, innit?
So, if the oil is a given, it's just how the company intends to get to it and how, over what time span, and with what equipment. IF there's nothing for the rest of this week, fair enough... if there's nowt next week? Folk'll get antsy... if there's booger all for a fortnight, outside of hold rns', then you'll get the same bashing as happened over the ATOG scandal.
Time those moneygrubbers actually showed the faith that the loyal retailers have and played a smart hand. Only way to get past 5p, imo.
RE: I bet that would add 20% in minutes... : 024 Jul 2019 13:01
trouble with vernon leaving is there's no timeline and his old dog smell will be difficult to get rid of.
New ceo/chair and some fresh ideas to grab some of the new media channels for banking. take a bit of monzi and add that to the retail success and.... mind, depends what that clown johnson now does with brexit. could be a miserable few months...
I seriously doubt anyone made money on this except those in the know from when Sunup invested. Anyone/everyone else just ploughed more money into this on the Gib news and the expectation that China was being unlocked. Even when the results came out and were poor there was a belief that the news was just around the corner and the results drop just gave another opportunity for a bounce reward.
For all I know, this could still happen. As an ex fan of the share said to me on a bb, look at 7DIG and how that rose from its death bed on change of BoD and funding news.
Wouldn't stake my house on it but definitely worth watching until it resolves one way or the other.
Agreed, re. Align. They're just p+d... if they manage to push a share up 30% ina monring, i'd take advantage of it and sell into it because, if this is as good as it gets today, I'm reckoning they won't have a problem selling into it either... in fact, I did.
Might be wrong but I'll look to get them back in the low 6s over the next couple of weeks.
