Morning everyone. It’s a long time since I’ve checked in early in the morning to catch up, But, I watched the developments with the Russian retreat and wondered if it may be, finally, Putin seeing sense. My kids say it’s a trap and I’m hoping it’s the end of a disaster that should never have been. Let’s hope for everyone it’s the end and the Ukrainians can begin to move slowly back to normality.

Freddie, that would be a goer in the Paterson with their weather. Add a lot of shade too to help keep the ground cool. Worth chucking a few quid at. That’s a green credential boost once cash flows.

Thanks Speedy. With inflation now becoming ridiculous I’ve decided to get rid of cash savings and move to gold. Sovereigns and Britannias. I’ve always bid on scrap gold jewellery on eBay but will avoid the coins on your advice. It’s certainly opened my eyes today.:-)

Same for silver. Looks as though Speedymeadie was correct. Metals are on the up.

I managed eventually with Hatton garden metals. 5 minutes ago. Purchase of gold must be on the upturn as people buy to hedge against inflation.

Since my last post just before 2pm I’ve been trying to buy sovereigns to hoard away. Royal mint hat one left and before I logged my details in it was gone. I tried Atkinsons, chards, bullion by post. All waiting delivery with between I and 6 weeks. Last resort, e bay.

Freddie,I have a friend ( hard to believe I know) who works as a risk assessor for a pension fund. It took them 6 months of wrangling within the company just to get the go ahead to invest in an aim company. In addition the diligence seemed endless. Rules,rules, rules.

My poor old Dad worked on a coking plant that made town gas. They added hydrogen that came from some by product of producing coke.They produced so much petroleum concentrate they GAVE IT AWAY to anyone with a car. There were a dozen in the village. Our house never blew up and we were never overcome by fumes when we used the gas rings as auxiliary heating in the winter. :-)

I know I shouldn’t, but I’ve replied to one of Grahams tweets. He’s banging on about how good hydrogen is again so I said “Graham, with the greatest of respect sell some electrolysers, you have the power to do it”. If he spent as much time and effort selling plant as he does tweeting we would all be rich.

As a footnote, I wonder whether the shorters will buy back in now and take profit? If not I’ll feel a little uncomfortable.

Well, after looking at everything that’s gone before today I’m hoping that this is the bottom. I entered at around 70.46 some time ago will add 10,000 today just to keep the average down. I just hope that it’s not money wasted.

This is mahoosive now. 2 declines? A shaft? Gold further out, deeper down and still expanding.:-)

Looks as though 2 shorts have closed. Looking better.
