Bamps, I started life as an underground cable jointer in 1973. By 1976 we were training on aluminium cables that were superseding the copper. They were appalling. You couldn’t bend them properly due to size. . For a AL cable to have the same current rating as a Cu one it had to be 300sq mm in place of 185 sq mm, so almost twice the csa making them almost as expensive as copper. They corroded if they had any sort of break in the outer skin which could have been started by a stone abrading them on installation. The resin in the joint can crack and leak and allow moisture in. Once again the corrosion starts and eats the cable away. These cables are STILL being laid but in the 90s the outer neutral earths went back to being copper to prevent the corrosion and I believe are still like that so if t(eye can come up with an improved aluminium conductor it will be a solid step forwards.I hated working on Aluminium but loved the high voltage oil and and gas pressure cables that were mainly copper. Easier to bend and set in position.

Junglebabbler, I think he meant that he never sold any at 35p. Same as me.I got greedy as it went up and hung on tightly. Lesson learned.

Getting weirder by the day. HL now have me as voted but if I click “vote here” it appears to infer that I haven’t voted on the 3rd party site that dealt with it. I’m not voting again until that gets clarified in case it voids the vote.

Nothing for me yet either. I wonder if it’s for people with fairly high holdings that will make a considerable difference to voting. On another note, the spread is tight today. When I looked a few minutes ago a dummy sell and a buy were only 0.06 pence apart. I wonder if we’re going to get wild fluctuations in the sp?

Hydraulic, I believe it was just Taylor and Russo saying vote against to save their skins. Personally I voted to get rid as I believe they are a drain on the company and bring little to Chill. It appears to be the opinion of the majority too.

Bamps, I just had another look. The mega miner 2000 tph isn’t shown(MEGAMINER® Stationary and Semi-Stationary processing plants, capacity range of 10-2,000 TPH (solids)), but the trailer one is only 200 tons per hour. However, 200 tons an hour from the back of a mobile plant is moving some spoil. I suppose you could run several until the proper plant could be set up and sorted.

I took all their blue Raz and blueberry yesterday while it’s £5.99. I’ll take it again tomorrow while it’s at these prices.

As Bamps said, look at some of these mobile plants. 2000 tons an hour is not bad for something that you can tow about to where you need it.

Freddie, it’s an alternative view which is ok, however I reckon Newmont will have it sorted in short order. I would reckon any maintenance will be completed on the plant whilst production is on hold and then it’ll business as usual. Meanwhile Shaun will be getting a few quid knocked off the price and Newmont will want it off their books even quicker.

Local Morrys had sold out of blue raz and Melon and only had a couple of each the others left in the rack so I bought the Cherry and Blueberry and left it empty. I told them it needed refilling.😊

Daz423, it’s last rights of refusal, so someone would have to bid over the odds to get it. If they do it just gives us a higher value. We really can’t lose in my opinion.
