My guess is all test kits mfrs will have a place for their products somewhere in the World. Rather like loo rolls... Different brands, thicknesses, softness, price, qty per pack... But when needs must anything will do...

Cowboy, VSun is a distributor not a battery manufacturer. I'm sure each manufacturer they represent sorts out their own electrolyte production on an outsourced basis to their own spec including whose V to use.

Now which of the following will be our next VIP target:
VRF, E22, Schmit or Voltstorage...
I think with a little research into each one you will find the answer.

I did pose the idea of BMN maybe looking at going after AVL/VSun but right now I don't think so. OEMs are the target for now.

If you look at the BMN Feb 2020 Corporate Presentation P4 under electrolyte they state they will set an electrolyte supply plan which is separate to the E London production.
We are seeing that plan roll out now...and it's in the form of local leased electrolyte deals. I think BBN is quite right. E London will be for BE/Eskom. Bmn has developed a lease deal package and that's the only way they will get directly involved in the supply of electrolyte out side of Africa and potentially outside of South Africa.

I also think we might see news of a battery assembly/manufacturing investment deal fairly soon as this will take a littke time to set up.

The only niggle I have is that VSUN are just Distributors not and OEM and they are a sub of Australian V. Personally I think there could be a bigger fish to fry on this one... Why not simply go for the whole lot... Its cheap as chips right now and Australia alone could be its own marketplace with possible spread into NZ and other Far East markets. Its the only continent not covered yet.
I would be very surprised if VSun/AV wasn't on the radar in either the BMN camp or Consortium household.

James2k66... SA exchange controls are still in place although they have been relaxed a tad. Yes it is possible to buy international shares whilst being resident in SA but nowhere near as easy as buying from UK so many simply don't. Much easier for iis.
One has to ask why did BMN even raise it in the first place and then put it back. I personally think its a political move. It's more about how the SA Govt and Ministers work if you get my drift...its about tomorrow headlines!!!!

Re electrolyte... Wouldn't is simply make sense to have electrolyte produced in each market as needed. All the OEMs currently have their own suppliers and those probably use BMN Vanadium anyway. Now if E London ends up being used primarily for Eskom then will it also become a battery assembly facility.

I was also pleased to read you feel a rental agreement should be part of the Eskom offering/deal. I did pose the idea a couple of times but as no response felt perhaps as there is outside funding involved it might not be a consideration. Personally I think it would be a huge consideration and would allow those funds to be stretch that much further into other Phases perhaps.

Colt45... I don't expect them to hive off BE at all.
I mentioned issuing new shares to just open up the discussion. I didn't say they would but anything is possible. FM and Co have always indicated they want to protect shareholder interests. However, he has also indicated he would like to see more iis on board and SA still has exchange controls. I'm not completely up on how a JSE listing would work and what is needed so was hoping others could enlighten us.
BBN JSE might not matter to us but BMN is a SA based company and through BE they are looking to sell into the African marketplace. Why should South Africans not have a chance to be a part of our Duchess story. Their money is as good as ours.

Putting all this in the most simplist of terms, BMN is the new Mining/V Battery DISRUPTER.
They have seen how Vanadium is viewed globally as a commodity and traded as such making it extremely vulnerable to price highs and lows. This when fed into the long life V Battery market creates uncertainty and has held back take up.
By putting leasing at the centre of the supply chain it removes much of the uncertainty but doesn't do away with the V price fluctuations. So what to do?... Create your own Lease company and open it up to industry players too. This then creates the hedge needed not just on the V price but also spreads the investment needed to support the leasing as BMN will require payment for the V sold which then sits as a lease backed asset in the Battery but owned by the lease company. Investors will then get a cut of the profits.
Geez its a fantastic model being two completely different industries together.
I suspect this is why the JSE listing has been pushed back so that this can all be set up. Question is will BMN issue new shares for JSE investors?

Ninvestor... My point being, there will be a lot of very undervalued companies out there and once the market bottoms I'm sure the hunt will be on by all sorts of investors...BMN/BE/consortium included to pick up a bargain. Now we are currently in negotiations and perhaps cercumstances the World finds itself in right now puts us in a very strong position to perhaps improve on said deals somehow.
Coronavirus will be a short term issue and Govts will support business as best they can. The oil price is what shocked the markets.

BMN is a cash generating profitable company and best placed to weather circumstances right now.
