Just watching Q&A on BBC News. New Covid mutation thought to have come from someone who had compromised immune system and took a long time to fight off the virus which gave it time to mutate...
So based on this then that would surely mean an early stage treatment like SNG001 is a must...

One other point...this new Covid strain has been known about since early December...could delays in clinical trials mean that they are now evaluating it against the new strain too???? That would make far more sense to me...

So Avacta estabished the BAMS sites for clinical trials but not the sites for the rapid antigen tests...so who did? the manufacturer we are using or another body??

Having slid in a note about BAMS & LFT there is no reason why he couldn't have simply said 'together with an update on our AVA6000 programme'...but he didn't so could it be that someone is already looking at this with the potential of a licencing deal or he didn't mention it because he's still planning a Q4 RNS...

Just reading between the lines....

Nothing negative about this RNS...reaction obviously due to being caught without enough shares to sell into market so they've dropped it on opening and sent their boys out to slate the news...happens time and time again...

There should be more RNSs coming out soon with more side deals.. The RNS tells us others are doing work ups to which they are funding not Avacta... Money in the bank and allows us to get on with our own work as pointed out again in the RNS...
Just ignore them chaps they'll disappear once they have enough shares... lol...

Geez.. AFFIRMERS can be used for a much broader base than just test kits... Licencing in other market spaces brings in the bread and butter...
These sorts of deals gets us noticed... And others will start to want some too. The hardest sale is always the first...

These are the new temp rules referred to in the RNS which said Results would be issued in January...I wonder if PXS will take the full month...

Gollumk... That presentation might be somewhat old but he still forecasts SNG 001 being launched early 2020s and he clearly likes the sound of big T/O numbers.

DanRey... Would you wait for Phase3 or would you try to negotiate a purchase prior based on Phase3 outcome. As was pointed out in the video link just posted... Phase2 could = £1b whereas Phase3 could = £10b or more...

Livedata... Personally I have no problem with them looking for UK Govt orders first... The World still sees our regulators etc as being best in the World and they, believe it or not, still trust our regulators decisions. We won't have production capacity to supply other countries initially but that should come fairly quickly once revenues flow... I'm sure all on here would be well upset if our test kits were produced here and then exported....

Arnold... Yes it would have been nice to have had their orders but they are not accurate and we could have done as they did for a quick buck... Much prefer we take our time and produce tests that actually work with the very highest accuracy because that will then secure a much greater order volume going forward for much longer as we in effect close out any competition...

Why is the Govt holding off until 11 Jan to send older kids back to school and to be tested? OK I get the fact they have to sort out volunteers but how long to train a few mums and dads up for each school plus the army... 2 hours???

Accurate early testing plus effective treatment is the only way out of this...especially for those who cannot receive the vaccination.
