As I understand it, and please correct me if I'm wrong, there are numerous flu viruses and each year scientists have to determine which will be the one most people will catch...now that's the kicker because some people will catch other strains and if you happen to be in a very vunrable group then you might still die even having had the vaccination and then there's those who can't be vaccinated at all for whatever reason. On top of all that, everyone develops different strengths of immunity depending on health and age factors and said immunity lasts for different periods of time depending on again a number of circumstances. So, no vaccine will cover every virus strain and be totally effective for everyone.
Finally, we don't know how long immunity will last anyway and from a discussion on the box today it 5-6 months was mentioned. So, that being the case then we are onto an annual vaccination programme just like flue. For me the most important thing is not so much the vaccination - I've never had a flu vaccination and have only had a really bad dose of flu once that I can remember but I will have the Covid jab - it's what treatments are available should I contract Covid...
I'm not against the flu jab but it's not generally a killer or doesn't have long after effects for people with no other health issues etc.
So, let's get SNG001 out there...
