HC I'm guilty of being a bit lazy here, but has anyone done an EBIT calculation based on us only maintaining H1 24 production levels?
Just curious to see what the gap then is to break even so that when the Q3 update comes we know if we're on track or not!
Cheers
The update seems to have been well received, personally I thought it included quite a lot of "gloss" on the China situation and future forecast demand. TBH was a tad disappointed as I'd expected the production to have ramped up since the last update, but it's clear at least that's mainly hampered by them not having sorted the debt finance out yet. Given the operating margin is £163/mt we need to get to those production volumes in order to make a profit, so it's a bit chicken and egg.
Only other thing I didn't like is the gain they've booked for the Suni purchase, I'm sure the auditors will be looking at that with interest and if we do have to strip it out or amend it that'll go down like a lead balloon.
Sorry sounds a bit negative but I think we've discussed the positive/fundamentals at length already. All in all a bit of a holding update for me, fingers crossed they achieve good terms on the debt finance and this time next year Rodders...
When you're thinking of the WACC for a non-listed company I'd say given recent interest rate rises 7% would be a great deal, for listed companies equity is obviously more expensive, so I'm personally comfortable with a range of 7-15%.
As I mentioned this is a temporary measure so little concern on that element for me, it's more about ensuring we hit those production numbers to maximise throughtput.
Hi Skeletor, we are selling at a slight discount in exchange for more favourable payment terms, believe this was mentioned by Shishir in one of the cash flow update RNS's.
Point to note however is that any discount is likely to be equal to our cost of capital, thus it's neither a positive/negative. Once we are in a CF positive position, then we should stop taking the discount and simply benefit from full "market" prices!
Think you need to go back to the hospital and get your head checked too Cagney.
LOL...sorry had to, glad you're now feeling better.
Yes it's been a bit of an unexpected rollercoaster, but fingers cross this time next year Rodders...
That this seems to be on a bit of a run in the right direction, not sure how long it will last for (and shame I didn't have any funds to average down further when it hit 14p) but at least my balance is looking a little less red than it did a few weeks ago.
Perhaps when the debt funding is announced (and it's favourable) we might have another push northwards!
