Second message - No worries at all! Yeh ocean been consistent since it all kicked helped massively by the 2022 launch in sept, but holidays also now picking up thank god, it’s sort of flipped for us, at the start all our customers were the worst hit age/medical but now they are going to be the first vaccinated so think that’s started to kick things in! Good to hear things picking up now too! Let’s hope the year gets better and better! Keep safe!

April/May cruises as said before 800 passengers down from 900. Full capacity on cruises thereafter.

Seeing really strong demand for 2022 this week in the general holiday market, and some amending from this year to next. Everything will be full this year anyway. But it wouldn’t at all surprise me that by end of May/June all of Sagas cruise for 2022 will be full. Just my opinion.

Looks like back end of May as we thought if goes to plan if this is to go by with Fred Olsen. Seems more realistic.

I can find out. It’s ok saying on the 12th January it’s going ahead but everything is changing on a daily basis. Best thing to presume is nothing until end of May. All the very best.

Thomson - I hope that’s a serious question and not taking the ****. Cruising start end of May. Any April departures will be delayed until then, so just a change of departure date, and not loss of revenue. The benefit of only having 2 cruise ships. Able to flex and move. The market is currently ruled on pure sentiment. If the sun shines people are buying. Rains, they sell. My average is above current levels which is annoying but holding and topping. If anyone can’t see the wood for the trees, they shouldn’t be even on here or delving in shares in travel. At £2.45 a share it’s embarrassing compared with the likes of Carnival who have know insurance arm and should be junk status the level of debt. Jet2, running at £13 a share, safe bet but now cancelling up-to 25th March.

Topped up again too. Brought my average down to 2.56. Frustrating when you know you could have got cheaper, but not falling into the trap of selling, just holding, holding, topping.

17 years ago whilst trying to come up with a name for my new Internet holiday company that I could match the Domain name and Ltd company to, I thought of Beachbum holidays (classy I know). But limited choice.
Didn’t use it but always remember it.
Called it Holiday Mania instead, www.holiday mania.com. & www.cheapbeachholidays.co.uk. No longer running, but have set up 2 high street agencies since then since still going well.
Bought in November, but too early really but brought my average right down on the dips and holding, despite the drain of constantly seeing red, but the industry will BOOM in April. Just confirmed a £19k Lapland booking today and people are booking now for Summer in the larger market. Best of luck everyone.

Thanks Doofus. As expected I think. But....although peak booking season (Jan-Feb) is not going to happen. It will be boom time in April onwards for bookings, and a late booking season all year, which is great news as instant cash flow for us. With demand outstripping supply 10 fold, higher prices, higher margins. Keep us informed your end pal.

Tiny point, but travel insurance policies should rise also come March/April. My presumption is the over 50’s in this market, that travel a lot, have a yearly policy?? Also in that case no travel insurance claims this year?
