Thanks Onsolid, considering as well February was one of the wettest on record, effecting footfall in retail, it's performed well. Sounds like they were all in Weatherspoons from this morning results :)
Bodes well all round! Think just some positive news and highlighting Retail will help. Cheers
I wondered why there was a boost in trades yesterday
Telegraph - Retail sales beat expectations as hopes grow for end of recession
Retail sales defied expectations in February and dodged a predicted fall, in a boost to hopes that the UK returned to growth in the first quarter of the year.
The volume of goods bought by shoppers last month flatlined at 0pc, ahead of market predictions of a 0.4pc fall.
Meanwhile, the already strong sales figure for January was revised higher to 3.6pc, from 3.4pc.
Incoming. 106p for breakout
Anybody know why when I bought more shares it shows as a sell on the ADVFV chart?
One cheap way of doing it would be to simply add. .co.uk on to every shop sign. And windows
Going to jump in tomorrow now I got some cash. Been watching it for at least 18 months since the last time I sold.
I think the SP is being manipulated down ready for a rise to ££1.25 imo. Well run. Debt down massively, minor possibility of small div. Anyway, see what happens. A lot of people concentrating on a physical card when actually the diversity of gifts and extras has been most important and pushing basket price up. It’s far from just a card shop now
I’m going to tell you a ridiculous theory here you can have a good laugh at. Because it’s all just gambling anyway. But when the market went bonkers during Covid, I think a lot was fuelled by PI, getting skint and bored so threw themselves into the stock exchange meaning most stock ended up way over bought.
I think the cost of living and possible recession will drive the same behaviour?? Just a wild theory, don’t need any certain cranks commenting.
Got bored
Only thing I can chip in with is that holidays/travel is booming again, owning my own travel agency. Thank god we needed it, been a steady growth for a while now, but now summers hitting, it’s rocking again.
As for cost of living, people will just have to stop being so wasteful and down grade there silly expensive cars on finance and get a Vauxhall Corsa instead.
See what happens, not expecting much.
