Thought about it like many others this evening with the multiple links people are posting etc…..of whether or not there is an element of overselling it a little regarding the updates this week and my main issue is, why bother? RR does not need to be pumped. It has already risen over a 1000% over the last 3-4 years. It’s not an AIM stock and if you think about the industries it operates in, they are all firing on all cylinders so why would you try to manipulate this particular stock? I personally do not buy the argument of a ‘meet expectation ‘ trading update and big sell off this week - makes no sense to me..

Time will tell i guess..

Interesting find over the weekend regarding the trade update and the estimates. If there indeed has been a leak i suspect RR will release a statement \bit of guidance before the 26th Feb, as they have done before where a material market impact will cause the SP to become volatile, up or down, especially if its of a sensitive nature as this is.

I don’t see the Tariffs having a material impact either to be fair, maybe a blip but no one cares anymore when you compare the news from way back in April (Shock and Awe) last year to now. It’s news but as always the dithering twonk will backtrack and in my opinion it’s more about him having the last word on any topic he wants to talk about or is attacked about.

Looking forward to this week and if indeed forecasted profits have gone up from 3.1 - 3.2 to 4 billion+…well pretty sure the market will react positively…maybe very positively!

Will be interesting..as we all know markets hate uncertainty and I am sure Trump will come out all guns blazing from the hip...some sort of knee jerk BS that people simply won't care about...the only thing i am now little worried about is...the art of deflection...lets kick off in Iran and stop people looking at this 'hand'...

Supreme Court (U.S) have ruled that it was wrong for the Orange one to use Emergency legislation to get sweeping Tariffs raised against other countries..

So here we are at £13+ on the eve (well 6 working days before results). Happy to see the trend is up which it has been for almost 3-4 years straight. Happy to see the normal pattern on dipping before results, again same pattern as the last few years has not been broken. Also happy to read the many stories about how people's lives have changed for the better.

Drop in inflation helped no doubt today...in that interest rates are likely to be cut and saver's will most likely look to the markets to get a better return. BAe results def helped as did Safran's last week and as things stand we are looking OK right now.

£14 is def a possibility either before or after results day. Looking forward to any news before then. Remember, if in doubt, follow the Motley Fool and just do the reverse..9/10 they have it spot on so to speak.

Def a fizz night tonight. As always, keep calm and carry on and do nothing when it comes to RR....i have quite a varied portfolio...but very RR weighted still. Simply put I don't have anything else that i like too much to diversify a little more into. and sell RR.

Just glad the yanks did not pull our trousers down again...today!

Record numbers expected at airports this week, our 'bread & butter' revenue is gold thus far. 9 working days left till results, looking forward to it...hopefully solid both historically(last year) and forecasts.

Thought this was a joke at first regarding the Netherlands and its approach to unrealized gains...regardless of whether you can carry forward the loss to the following year, your initial growth year in year out is eroded especially if you have to sell your investments to pay the bill.

There goes the wonders of compounding to a certain extent. Must be smoking the special stuff a bit too much....

RR's price at close is 12.17.50. Anything google shows is just noise I am afraid. It will open from this closing price tomorrow morning and as usual and like U.S opening the price will swing quite a bit in the first 30 mins or so and settle down after 09.05 in London.

Most of the U.S stocks are down today. No point trying to figure out why as it will drive you mad. Switch off - enjoy the night as there is zero anything or anyone can do. Chill. Paper losses are hard to stomach, but its just that... on paper...now if you had 100k in your back pocket and lost it..different story...that 100k you will never get back, but in time you will recover your paper losses as your still in the game.

Then I got a little serious with the future etc. and sold the M3 in 1997 ...and went carless until 2003 and brought..drum roll please...

A Mini Metro...for £200 - loads of issues but needed a car to take me to work for about 4 years.

Finally I asked my wife a question..should I buy a nice car or pay more off the mortgage (in part), to which she replied..do what makes you happy...so in came the Audi TT Coupe, followed by a RR Sport TDV8 in 2008 which to my surprise had zero issues until i gave it to a friend in 2012 (he loved it also). This friend (who passed away quite soon after) gave me his car while I looked for another which was a Toyota 1.3GS 1997. Never brought another car until 2024 when I splurged a little on a AM v12S (lovely little thing) thanks to RR in part.

Finally got rid of the Toyota last year and replaced it with a BYD..more for tax right off purposes but really like it (Sealion 7)..

I am not massively into cars…but I do like certain types for their heritage and sheer craftmanship etc.

I for one will not be complaining about this initiative being canned right now...lets concentrate on planet earth a little first before we think about 'space'. Hopefully the January 'hump month' is behind us....looking forward to some announcements around getting back into the single aisle market, more SMR wins in Europe, defence spending increases and 'power generation' wins...which I think will be huge.

We are all sheep in a away when it comes to investing \trading. The Shepard(market) will signal, the sheep dog (news) will then run around herding everyone up and ask everyone to follow the market one way or the other. Some 'sheep' may go off piste and make a proper 'wooly' profit by finding a nice bit of land(stock) to graze off and avoid the market turmoil. Eventually you will have to 'trim' your profit to stay lean and balanced (exit strategies) and if you don't you will no doubt end up in the a place where you don't want to be..cue the big steel building on the hill.

Stay in the game, play the game, follow your own head and let others be. People who do well, hats off....but don't follow them blindly. The Motely Fool is the epitome of cluelessness. A broken watch is right at least twice a day comes to mind.

Not worried at all ....regarding RR but that's because I am a LTH. Others will be different and if you are, stay in the game until at least results day if you can. On balance i would expect the SP to be above where we are now..based on the last 4 years historically around results time. Always dips.

I intend to sit tight for a little while yet. This will be back in the £13 range in no time at all .

Stuck a few quid in this one in Dec 24, nice return so far NUCGL.XC (VanEck Uranium and Nuclear Tech) --> not ramping it, just seemed like a solid stock based on nuclear being the new 'oil boom'. Steady growth for the last 12 months....maybe one to buy and and throw away the 'sell' key for a few years.

Trump is a narcissist, plain and simple. He does not care what anyone thinks, whether it’s his own party, family\friends, or the U.S demographic in general. He is an addicted to power and greed. Corporate America is most likely reeling from the shenanigans from the Oval office more so now than ever before.

The Supreme court rulings or opinions should be published this week with regards to the legality or not of the tariffs already imposed and will give us an indication of whats in store for the future.

IF it rescinds (or indicates it being so) the legal rationale of using Emergency Economic protocols, it will be a big headache to unwind it and prob cause a lot more damage with all the uncertainty.

What I do expect if it plays out with logic is offer a way out for Trump in that additional checks and balances by way of congress would be needed before imposing tariffs in the future and would effectively tie his hands and he would come out looking ‘ok’ or as can be after rattling half the world both politically and economically!

For RR, personally I think its great. SMRs will or should go their way in Europe. Even if they do not win more engine orders with Boeing, Airbus will be positioning RR with one eye on narrow body developments. Engines in the air will still fly and earn and defence spending will go through the roof.

The markets will settle, and RR will fly. Just hold your nerve in the coming weeks\months and sit tight.

Will be interesting to say the least either way. Again defense is the key going forward - spend spend spend unfortunately is the way forward in this rather bleak world of ours.

Let’s see what this evening brings - looks like there is a meeting of sorts today with the European leaders which I am sure will just tell us what we already know, update wise.

Will be a very interesting week also because the WEF is on.
