I have no idea the ratio you get on leveraged positions as never been interested in them myself but I do seem to recall it was once around the 10:1 equivalent mark meaning that for the same price you could purchase 75,000 shares for in the market you could take a position on 750,000 instead whilst paying either a fixed percentage or any extending margin along the way
like I said, leverage not my game, but I do understand how in principle it works and how to spot them in the trades page
it just proves that this particular 750k one has been rolled over for a second consecutive month it doesn't prove anything about any other leveraged trades and just because I might be new to posting on LSE it doesn't mean to say I haven't been around the blogs long enough to see the games being played first hand by some
anyway wasted enough time on this particular subject already
is it the leg ends aka falkland investor, essex, garbled, desire 2010, ****ney sparrow, to name but a few or is it little old me who has unlike our multi alias kit kat never once claimed to have either lived in or visited the islands or regular occasions
''the position is identical to one month ago. Hence fact.''
Auson, ok if you want to keep splitting hairs then yes this 750k position has been rolled over so it can be said it is indeed a fact but only in relation to that single recurring one, therefore you CANNOT make a blanket claim that no other leveraged retailer has been stopped out or closed their position over the same period for the simple reason that I gave earlier which is, every leveraged player will have varying amounts of funds behind them to cover any margin call when their long or short goes against them in their chosen time frame
some folks will just keep on rolling their positions over, month after month as some folks will never close their position at a loss, just the same as some folks will never sell their shares at a loss whilst others will simply cut their losses earlier by selling their shares or simply closing their leveraged position out
''Does this not mean that not one leveraged retail has been stopped out or closed position since the end of Jan ?''
sorry Auson but you cannot claim that as being a statement of FACT as each individual player will have different amounts of cash behind them to cover any margin call
fecm, SP rise is a generic one across UK / European stocks due to central banks announcement this morning and has nothing to do with anything Rockhopper specific despite what that delusional millionaire might claim
folks should ask themselves why a self professed millionaire would spend their entire weekend pumping their inside guff on a faceless blog when others are all out and about with their friends and family
our fraud oil friend reminds me of that other deluded leg end falkland fella that we both knew as garbled over on iii who spent every day during the past drilling campaigns telling us similar walter mitty stories
for the record the 750,000 trade is a roll over of a leveraged product as you have to sell first then buy them back and it costs you the price difference to maintain the bet for another time period
using leverage is a mugs game even for multi millionaires
I would suggest both leg end and fraud oil are best ignored
I don't entirely disagree Auson but its surely much safer for the embarking passengers if the craft taxis right to the end of the runway first and you have a fully qualified pilot in the ****pit at the controls :-)
the swallows are running off course, they've got el captitano's signal crossed and now the leaking ships compass is pointing to an el capitano's (20p strong buy) LOST
**Should the Directors be unable to raise sufficient funds or find an exploration partner, the Company may be unable to realise its assets and discharge its liabilities in the normal course of business.**
it says: 'the company is actively seeking other partners to participate'
so there is NO 'ongoing discussion' as you incorrectly claim but rather they are still actively up that smelly creek with their please come and save us begging bowl just as they have been ever since Noble pulled the FI plug
