I agree it is a storming buy but I don’t think news is imminent - I think it could be 1-2 months away and so I still think there will be good buying opportunities here for a while yet.

Yes, but for me tinged with extreme sadness at the passing of the great Keith Flint. Puts everything that we that are left behind have to come to terms with.

These situations are always very exciting. I’m not dependent on my investing returns so I tend to hold on for the spectacular outcome - witness here last summer and UKOG in summer 2017 - but I will change that stance here.

Specialist1 had my doubts about you when you started to post but you have won round many on this board (me included). Appreciate the comments and the effort you make - has made the board an enjoyable place to check in frequently A’s excitement builds. I have certainly criticised Potter and the business a lot over the years but I hope for all the LTH’s sake that this is not another false dawn and instead we end up with a cracking set of farm out terms. I hold quite a few million shares here and will be very happy if this gets to 20p plus. Like you I have a scheduled selling plan but will keep at least a million shares for the final drill result. Without an RNS (and I don’t think there will be one this week), I would be happy if BPC stayed abouve 3.2 end of week. Doubt for me was whether the AG was referring to last summer’s exclusivity and hence the single company name he said he knew. Assuming he was up to speed (and why not he is the AG FFS) then as Potter says multiple parties involved it would be a clear steer that our former exclusivity partner is still very much in the mix.

This is looking dead in the water now - quite literally. Might be worth some betting money rather than sticking it on Cheltenham in a couple of weeks. Talk about catching a falling knife though this is a really sharp one covered in nerve agent.

Good news that removes one very acute uncertainty. I do wonder how far away they are in the discussions to find a drill partner though? Hopefully the licence certainty will significantly aid the discussions but I didn’t get a massive feeling that there will be news on drill partner and terms for some months yet. Hopefully we can get to a position where the drill can commence post hurricane season 2019!!

Keith1 - i have said similar things also. I think that is a possibility - the BG would simply put it as not renewing the licences as BPC has not been able to demonstrate they are capable of getting a drill away here. Oil drilling will eventually take place in the Bahamas, it's just not absolutely certain it will happen in the BPC existence.

This provides little cause for optimism. Any suggestion that the original major walked and is now totally out of the picture (if true) would see this fall to 0.7p or lower as it is merely the ylthought in some people’s minds they might still be involved keeps this where it has been recently. There is no truth in the suggestion they are looking for anything other than a major to drill - I heard from a very reliable source over a year ago that the BG will only allow BPC to drill if they are backed by a heavyweight in the industry with experience in this sector. Feeling more and more like this is now a total punt.

In my opinion there is no value in the data / seismic results that exists in a scenario where they can’t conclude a deal / renew the licences. In the short term this is a chicken and egg around successful discussions with interested parties / renewal of the licences. Current valuation suggests that neither is an overwhelming likelihood, and not the expected outcome but rather an option premium for the upside. Still think it is a punt premium but nothing very specifically suggests a positive outcome - so potential based but you are very likely to lose your betting money! Have over 4m shares only at a small loss currently so I will lose circa 45k or make a minimum of 500k at a very minimum if a drill deal is concluded. Most is in pension so doesn’t feel like real money!!!!

The share price not far off double of what it was a week before Xmas. Wonder what’s brewing and what’s about to be announced?

I'm not saying they won't do a deal, i really hope they do as i still have a good few shares here. It is not a bad punt at all for the upside. I'm just saying they will never drill on a self funded basis with no major involved. Really hope they continue to make progress (if any has been made to date) on that front - at least we will know our outcome for what is a good punt at this stage. What we don't know is whether we get stuffed on the licence front if the BG don't play ball because they see more upside (especially in their own wallets) if there is something here and have the chance of having some auction amongst interested parties. Enough excuses to whip away from BPC for being useless over most of the last decade (excuses or no excuses).

My view is there will never be any drilling in the Bahamas by BPC in its current form. The possibility of funds being raised for BPC to drill absent a major being involved is exactly ZERO. I was told that over a year ago and the probability is still zero as it will be ad Infinitum.

Can’t help but think that a number here are being taken in by the company or adviser sourced “process is very busy and active discussions continue”. The only active discussion SP has been involved in over recent months is how to play the 1st hole and are you better approaching the 15th green with a 9 iron or a pitching wedge?

Oh come on, you get told by someone on a bulletin board that they spoke to the company and it was all good and you fell for that one? So if I told you the moon was made of cheese and the market for moon cheese was looking good , would you believe that? I did say many months ago that the BG wouldn’t show their hand on oil until they knew whether any major was interested and a deal could be done and should that not be the case they would start Re-emphasising their green credentials and preference in any case for renewables as that is what the population wants to hear. Starting to happen, beginning of the end for BPC in my view.

The good old days, share price heading for a 50% fall from it’s just over £3 peak a mere quarter ago. Just like those days when the world and his wife were saying the craziness would end, anyone thinking history might be about to repeat itself here. Back into spending money again to develop the assets, lack of communication from the board, the KRG only looking after itself at the expense of the IOC’s, just need some political trouble and suspended payments to crush the cash pile to put GKP under severe pressure again. Who would have bet that?
