Even if by throwing a lot of money at this I get out with a tidy profit I will still be angry as to what has gone on here resulting in a lot of people being shafted that were not so able to do something to recover the situation. I will definitely take money off the table as things happen here that will make some of the newbie investors very very happy.

At 286p I am finally at breakeven on this after being nearly £200k down at the low point. Wasn’t the end of the world then but a glancing blow on the chin! Felt a bit annoying then though compared to selling out on court case verdict day or in the glory years (but had less shares then). Not gloating, very respectful of those that are still heavily underwater and need a much higher price still to get their heard earned back. Had a bit of a wobbly on the day in late May when one of the big holders sold out but stuck with it. Not getting out at 286p, will stick with it for undoubted much further potential upside but still am wary of getting shafted again as there are parties involved here that I would not trust for even a nanosecond. If only I had maxed out on the “warning” given at Twickenham in March 2015 but seemed like very drunken chatter at the time.

Wonder what influence the BG will have in the negotiations. Assuming it is correct to believe they want an O&G industry developed they could be very insistent BPC accept an offer even if it is to the detriment of s/h’s. Clearly the board has a duty to act in the best interests of s/h’s but easy to convince themselves a relatively bad deal is better than no deal (where have we been hearing that)!!

Yes, had the same thoughts. Pity all the other errors the company have made over that time couldn’t be corrected as easily - wouldn’t feel so annoyed at such a large award at 7.75p if that were the case!!

Hello WTT, am also Welsh so let hope for a few renditions of Our national anthem when this hits the height. Last summer was the ride of a lifetime. Have some regrets for not fully cashing out befor buying back in really big time, but we live and learn. Dream still going strong here and if I made £1m on a fantasy result last Year would make more than £10m on the same r silt this year or next. Paid a few visits to pub on Adversane Lane autumn last year and fully expect to do so this year or maybe the Black Horse on Horse Hill this year to celebrate success this year (I am a man of simple pleasures - money and beer)!!

Have nearly 4m shares here (and an insanely larger amount in UKOG and lesser, but large, positions in GKP and NIPT). Missus wants £150k from me To make some changes to one of our properties, so undecided whether to sell a good part of my BPC holding (average entry price about 1.4p I think) To close of wife liability. Or do I ride the wave for the next few months and have to find the cash via alternative means in worst case outcome or pay out of proportion of gains if this goes the way I think it will. Decisions, decisions!!!

Would imagine they will have to say something - you can't not comment on a 50% daily rise. Question is what can they say at this stage - of course might announce a deal at 7am tomorrow morning and today might look like a small increase compared to what happens over the following days!!!

After all the excitement of B.B. last summer and how the board got overrun by morons I too decided not to post much but rather switch off UKOG (not in terms of holding a lot of shares but rather wait for definitive progress instead of watching minute to minute). Getting interesting here again though. Couldn’t resist adding a couple of million more shares when we were at low point so in the locker for the fun and games ahead. ATB

I wonder if the BG are holding the EA decision pending knowing the major’s intentions (ie whether they see a drill as a viable prospect)? If the major, after its considerable deliberations and pouring over the data thinks there isn’t a deal then that gives the BG an opportunity to say it can’t be convinced by the environmental feasibility of drilling. Obviously no much needed revenue then but it will certainly endear itself to the significant part of its people that are opposed to drilling and look like it was strong and took principle over revenue. Am struggling otherwise to see why there is such a delay in the EA decision unless it is connected to whether there is likely to be a viable drill partner. I am sure that if the major sees a deal and it is vaguely acceptable to BPC then it would have been given the nod that the EA is essentially a done deal. In fact if the major makes any deal offer I would have thought the BG will be putting strong pressure for it to be accepted and we might find we as s/h’s are the ones thought least about.

I would have thought contingent liabilities, any potential further costs and the unpredictable nature of Illumina (ie where next) weight heavily on the stock rather than likely loss of U.K. revenue. The picture to date of management misjudging patent infringement hardly inspires confidence in spite of all the positive developments. I think that Illumina has to be out of the picture categorically and without doubt before this will really pick up and to my mind that has to be some form of unequivocal settlement agreement rather than some wishy washy withdrawal that leaves us thinking what will Illumina do next!

Fair bit of selling going on here today. We struggle to hold our ground as soon as any positive news becomes more than a week or so old. at the moment. TW 25p by Xmas seems a long way off at approaching the mid year point!

Given TW has been wrong every step of the way that almost certainly means it will be much closer to current price or below by Xmas!! Don’t really believe that - surely TW will be right this time (give or, more likely, take a few pence)?

But surely oil cannot be the plan A for the BG? There have to be other routes to achieve a balanced budget (including raising taxes). At this stage the BG (like everyone else) cannot be certain that oil will be extracted commercially (we think it will otherwise we wouldn’t be invested and i’m Sure most of us that are are playing with some betting money or a part of a diversified portfolio). The BG cannot just pin their hopes on commercial oil for the next couple of generations at least at this stage - surely not? It is an answer they will know in the next couple of years but in terms of setting budgets in the short term they have to look at a diversified portfolio of measures.

I think 10p on EA followed by a decent farm-out would be a blinding result based on where this has been for too many years than most would care to remember. Having sold the material part of what I had at what was a near 1p average buy price (with a lot of trading along the way) over last few weeks, now have a free ride on what is still a substantial number of shares so I can only gain (or lose nothing) from the BPC ride. A long way to go to get to 10p and I don’t expect any big news until late July but going to be fun for sure!
