Me too - have been in here for 3 years always hoping for some deal - well now's the time to take the money and run to the next deal - QPP looks cheap IMO but do your own research as there will be bumps in the long and winding road! GLA
Looks like Hank has closed another contract win - keep them coming in! "Earthport, the cross-border payments service provider, has secured a three year contract with WorldRemit, a global online money transfer business. The time between contract signing and live transactions is expected to be less than one week. Earthport chief executive Hank Uberoi said: "We are delighted that WorldRemit has chosen Earthport and look forward to supporting their growth plans. The rapid implementation from contract to going live further demonstrates the capability and agility of our payments platform.""
EPO is slowly but surely creeping back up into sensible SP territory again - HU is managing expectations very well - hopefully when the next results are announced there will be more new deals on the table. Loyal shareholders are looking forward to some serious upside in 2013 / 14. GLA
This has been a great share over the years - always below the radar; however, Barclays have now said its target price is up from 430p to 540p and upgraded the stock to overweight. Looks like there is now some serious traction - I'll keep it as the dividends are good, there is excellent management in place doing sensible bolt on acquisitions and there is always a chance of a buy-out down the road when someone recognises the real value in this conglomerate! GLA
This little beauty continues on its merry way of 1% + increase nearly everyday - up nearly 30% this year - big dilemma - keep holding - too expensive to top up! Blackrock Inc. are now interested in 56,099,066 of its shares (or 11.15% of its share capital) - this is up another 5 million shares in a week?? Volumes up as AHT has moved up another notch! Also have a look at HLMA - another great share under the radar!! GLA
I am amazed that everyday these shares tick up 1% or thereabouts - I thought they had peaked at 400 - 450p! Fortunately I kept half and sold half (having doubled my money so not complaining!). Now AHT has announced it has been advised that on 28 Feb, Blackrock Inc. were interested in a total of 50,894,640 of its shares (or 10.11% of its share capital) - does this mean somebody is lining up for a t/o or is it just stake building? Volumes average about 500k per day. Thoughts. GLA
Very encouraging RNS today - absolutely don't understand why this is still hovering around the 20p mark - can't be the carnage in the markets - this has got get moving back up to 30+ - just don't understand what's holding it back - maybe there are a whole bunch of shorters / pessamists out there?
Ashtead's share price has galloped ahead - big question is can it sustain these levels or will it go further - hard to imagine that a year ago it was languishing in the 125p levels? I still reckon it might come off these high levels - last time I thought that it soared on through to 330p! Really have no idea where the top is. DYOR and GLA.
Halma share price continues to go onwards and upwards - still a great share to hold IMO as it pays good divis which increase year on year, has excellent management and has take over opportunity lurking in the background which might come to fruition one of these days - DYOR and GLA.
What a great company - have followed it for years - my only concern is whether the rise today has been overdone and the company should pay out larger divis - my last entry was last year at £1 so reckon it might be time to take some money off the table at these levels. Also the general markets are starting to look to retreat with Greece, the euro, recession rumours etc.
Agreed jonny - this is a tremendous share - only hope the results next week are positive otherwise they'll be bashed - but then another good buying opportunity. I like the capital and divi growth year on year and the divis are not to be sniffed at - reckon this will carry on rising year on year by the usual 15 -20%! Great company - Barclays clearly haven't done their homework! DYOR & GLA.
This is starting to look like good value the nearer it gets to 200p. Shame the divis are so such a low yield - any thoughts as to whether some USA outfit might want to buy this group longer term? Still think management are too low key - need to move ahead with the times. DYOR and GLA.
Me too - I told the caller to tell the Board to stop wasting shareholders' money sending out more AGM forms to fill in and then phoning them to ask about where they intend to vote - sort yourselves out Alliance Board or you will be ousted as the returns to shareholders over past 5 years have been very average and you are paying yourselves far too much money, as usual!!
Analysts should be held accountable for their wild and often misleading 'targets' - I suspect it is often connected to where they would ideally like their positions to be or come from. This is a great British company, strong profit and dividend performance over the years, excellent management and still showing real growth. I will continue to hold and tuck more away when price dips. DYOR & GLA.
