has anyone got any ideas as to why this SP ALWAYS seems to open lower than the previous session's closing price??

Drax down 15%, SSE and Centrica approx 6% and 7% respectively.

IMHO, drop is due solely to the Citibank evaluation to sell this share. No other renewable co has dropped by anything like this one.

Barclays ratings should be taken with a pinch of salt. They are regularly wildly out of sync with all the other ratings.

As I read it, 320 is the price paid by ICBC. A "secondary" placing will be organised by Cannacord and the final price agreed between them and ICBC.

By the time i managed to transfer enough funds to my investment a/c, only got 385 !! still going up.

fully agree will dump my complete holding immediately market opens tomorrow if not before. better fish to fry!!

Cane Toad & Pickedpeck; thanks for your research and replies. I guess any or all of those reasons would account for the sp drop of recent days. I still believe this will rise substantially from the current price level over the next few weeks, especially once the year end 2021 finalised results are issued.

I just topped up another £350 worth over my top limit immediately before the close @ 389.50.
