Gone through on BCN today .... I wonder if we've started selling again as a result of their rally.....hmmmm no news of our director purchases yet - I wonder what (or who perhaps!!) could be holding that up by being late .... again!!

Ivy .... you have as much (if not more) right to post here as anyone does & you have the right to post what you like when you like (look at all the nonsense & joking that's posted it's hardly exclusively about KDNC!)...... just accept that among the genuine shareholders & people with a genuine interest these chat boards are full of turnips that have lost money & want to blame everyone but themselves, or idiots who post to goad so as to elicit a response, be unnecessarily negative or obnoxious just because they can behind the anonymity of a keyboard....... just try to ignore them would be be my advice, like hemorrhoids they'll always be there but with the right treatment you'll learn not scratch.... best I can offer :-).

.... couple months old now but indicates that at a meeting with the newly appointed Morningstar of mines that mining exploration permits could be issued soon, that was 2 months ago..... so perhaps now imminent?? If so it'd explain why we needed funds other than to settle the CLN... there's more detail if you 'download the document'

It's BCN's announcement that has also been published under KDNC's news feed by the stock exchange due relevance & on KDNC's website we did not issue our own RNS as we didn't need/weren't required to ....at least that didn't cost us anything...... i.e. it was not & did not need to be an RNS announcement by KDNC themselves.

In the same way it is our individual responsibility to notify KDNC if any of us exceed the 3% holding threshold it is the responsibility of KDNC to notify companies of our holdings in them as & when we cross thresholds then it is for those companies to report it.

Clearly this is because the company being bought & sold would have no idea as to who holds what of their stock until you tell them.... the reason we didn't issue our own RNS is because we were/are simply doing what we're currently set up to do as an investment company & we weren't required to do so other than via the TR1 notification to BCN... whether you agree with selling BCN as an asset or not.

So just for you & that memory.... (however I don't do maybe's, guesses, estimates, hopes or wishes so) on what I can evidence.

Auroch* 6.6% current MCAP £4.4M = £0.3M
Clancy* # 4.5% current MCAP £3.9M = £.18M
European Metal 19.7% current MCAP £35M = £6.9M
Bacanora 6.95% current MCAP £67M = £4.7M
MacArthur M * 12.1% current MCAP £4.5M = £0.55M

So the total value of direct held company assets based on known holdings at today's MCAP's Circa £12.63M..... our MCAP currently of £13.5M other elements that are just there, not easily quantifiable at this time &/or many years distant:

San Luis
JV's
Greenland
cash in bank from BCN selling.

Oh... & it was really an 'IF' they have sold more as I'm pretty sure we have stopped .... for now at least .... those large trades on BCN over the last few months I'm convinced was us offloading all the way down to 30p ish .... question is why .... for what it's worth I reckon it's probably being lined up to spend on San Luis where I suspect there may be news on licences before long.... as you've indicated there was a loan organised to pay off the CLN so it shouldn't be for that ..... have I said what an almighty £uck up I think the whole CLN fiasco was in my opinion?

Frankie.... I only used the known % of holding as had been declared we held as at End June .... the value used in my response was based on, per my response, BCN's SP being the same today as on the dates you referenced in your question .. therefore my calculations stand.

It is not possible to know exactly what percentage of holding we might have had on the dates you reference in August because I couldn't find anything published act that time to confirm exactly what it was... the only confirmed holding %'s we've had are the Jun half year report by KDNC, the Oct 2 announcement of shareholders by BCN & the holdings RNS when we crossed 7%……… other than that it's been shown as approximately this or circa that & I suspect this was as a result of our selling down from the 8.4% to the now announced 6.95% during that time...

We may have sold more since of course but if so I don't think many & I would guess we've probably stopped now if so, which is why BCN's price has improved this week as well.. as our selling large chunks is no longer depressing it.

Just my thinking though....

.... actually on re-reading it doesn't make much sense.... problem of writing Tomes on a tiny screen !!

I don't do (or believe in the value of charts) per se when making investment decisions however for what it's worth ... some thoughts:

As at end Jun we had 8.3% of BCN & we were notified via BCN's holding RNS 02 Oct this had reduced to 6.95% .... now if (as you infer in your question) we accept the MCAP of BCN is approx the same we have ~ 1.4% less In terms of value of our direct holding or equal to approx to a decrease of just under £1M less ....... EMH on the dates you reference being 20% higher today (& I haven't checked just using your numbers) the increase in direct holding value is just over £1M more .... so you 'could' ascertain from that that our SP if truly reflecting our direct holdings shouldn't be impacted today too much today by virtue of the changes in our holdings in BCN or EMH.

So look elsewhere at our other direct holdings (little/no value is attributed to the JV's) & sentiment toward the BoD & their stated plans - my own of which I think my views have been aired sufficiently.

Hoping that makes any sort of sense.... :-)
