Ivy ... dilution as a % of total holding from an equity raise is pretty much irrelevant in terms of value ... what matters is the price per share....
Right now if BCN were to raise equity by issuing 400,000,000 shares at 25p each we'd be no worse off financially if we held 5.93% as now or 1% of the enlarged SCAP... assuming that BCN's SP would rise after such a raise the monetary value of our holding would increase accordingly...
Selling to protect against dilution is a non- starter as far as I'm concerned & this is for another reason entirely in my view.... protection against a further decline or to partake in another project/funding, pay off debts & loans or pay salaries take your pick but protection against dilution naaa not for me.
