The RNS looks like a disaster! If the company needed CRUK on board how do they expect to do a trial? I've been invested in VAL and SCLP since 2012. SCLP has caused less concern over the last few years as its just been plodding along, but I don't want it to do a trial with a handful of patients involved as this approach has undermined VAL somewhat.
I wasn't too happy to see a reference to open offers at 13p. I hope I have misread that. I am surprised to see comments about bad PR. Personally on the back of that RNS I think we are getting off lightly with a 4.39% drop.
Scottyk, I've been looking at ARB too. It's potentially risky, i am thinking of a small position and keeping my VAL Wouldn't want to miss the boat, but I can see there is a sentiment that the boat won't sail.
Itsallrigged, sounds like emotion is getting the better of you. Good luck with whatever you decide, but don't sell/buy when your clouded by frustration.
Yup, nice to read, certainly optimistic. However just in case any newbies are thinking of buying in (as I am planning to) don't confuse twitter/reddit / this BB/ YouTube with doing your research. Such sources are interesting to read and should not be dismissed, but look deeper before committing. For what it's worth yesterday's drop made for a good buying opportunity today, but never buy because of FOMO, there will always be other opportunities. Good luck all.
Not so sure about what is helping with silver at the moment Desamax. However it seems something contrived is going on. As I am not one of the contrivers I don't feel confident about the situation and suspect if I dabble I would end up holding the baby at the moment I don't want to be. I reckon FRES and HOC will drop tomorrow (I don't mean tank, just that they will both go down) and the party will start fizzling out
This has been a [...] year for the GSK SP. We are a long way of the highs of 1800p :( I suspect another drop following the Q4 results and I will top upon the dip. Of course if it doesn't drop I'm not going to complain :)
Hey Babanaman2! Haven't seen you for a while. You pumping here like you were on VAL or are you genuinely long on this one? You made a good choice on VAL, sure if held longer you could have gotten more, but you made the good choice of getting out with profits and not losing them by being tempted by a second bite of the cherry.
This is my biggest fear with this stock. I want in, but the opinion is either BTC is going to rally or BTC is going to crash and there is nothing in between. This is the reason I don't want to buy Monday, but planning to buy in Tues to Thurs. I understand there are results due next week (I am pretty sure I saw that on an earlier post - apologises if I am mistaken). I think I might wait till the results are in. Hopefully a more sensible consensus will form around BTC and ARB won't seem so much of a gamble. Good luck next week everyone.
That was an interesting article. Made me feel a little overwhelmed though. Guess holders of silver and/or silver companies could benefit from some volitilty and if the silver market is as manipulated as the article suggests it might be a just outcome. I am a bit nervous about hoardes of righteous milienials causing extreme volitilty in the markets. I have been thinking about ARB the last couple of weeks. For evey article I see that bitcoin is going to rally there is another that people exposed to bitcoin could lose it all. Starting to wonder if I am starting to stuffer from a loss of confidence. The kicking my FTSE shares took last week didn't help). Oh well. Let's hope for success next week no matter if people are in metals, bitcoin or just VAL.
Jamins, I think your take is pretty fair. I had the misfortune to holding shares in a company where shares were constantly being issued and I think in 2019 I had to stomach the number of shares doubling on the number of shares in 2018. In comparison the recent share issue is like nothing. I think it was something like a 5% dilution. I would say it is properly considered a dilution, but in fact it's pretty modest fund raising. Day traders will gripe (as would I being honest) but it's just a matter of confidence in the future. Looking forward to the week ahead and a possible (probable) buy in.
Got to admit I am in two minds about ARB. Exposure to AIM and BTC at the same time does not fill me with joy. I was also a little unsettled by a poster describing themselves as a LTH (I hold shares in a AIM biotech where LTH (of which I am one) is like a badge of long suffering and loss making). I was also put off by the dilution as it was dilutions that was killing my biotech. That all said, the dilution the other day was pretty tiny, the spread is attractively tight and I still think there is money to be made in ARB . Don't think I will be buying Monday, but could easily see myself placing a punt sometime between Tues to Thurs. Definably keeping a close eye on this next week. GLA
I havent knowingly been naughty, nothing rude nothing abusive, no ramping or deramping, nothing misleading.
I am at a loss unless someone is really worried about what I write lol.
I find it hard to believe someone cares that much about what I write.
I 've been looking at charts again, some interesting and possibly surpulous theories relating to triangles and channels.
The upshot however is that today MIGHT indicate a breakout ponit.
I wouldn't get too excited, I find TA analysis interesting, but wouldn't bet my shirt on it and I got to admit that these ideas about triangles are rather new to me and I haven't much confidence in them.
I would love to hear what iceman thinks as their grasp of such things is greater than mine.
Would be nice though if this was an indicator of a good week to come. Gla
OK I am struggling to understand the 2nd RNS.
As far as I under it a CVA is a disaster. I would be expecting the sp to tank.
That's clearly not happening and the chat on hear doesn't seem at all concerned about the CVA.
Have I totally misunderstood the RNS? Can anyone provide enlightenment?
I agree it's good news, but I don't think boom is about to happen on the back of that RNS.
Would be nice though and there are plenty hoping for an uplift soon.
Let's see what happens over the day and the next few weeks. Pretty certain that national lockdown doesn't make it any easier to report news of substance so hold tight and be patient, although got to admit I struggle with that as much as anyone else. Gla.
Gilders, given the rise we had the dip the last two days is not that bad.
Looking at the candlestick shape at the end of the day I am inclined to think tomorrow will be another red day, but it still could go either way.
The update is still pending so I am inclined to think that anticipation of news will stop this dropping too much further and most likely reverse it as the expectation grows. Gla.
