Pro - shorters have to buy the stock back that they sold short initially to return the stock to whomsoever they borrowed them in the first place with a small fee. The trades after auction at 1635 could be buys or sells so best to ignore them as they took place at some point during the day between 0800 and 1630 ( only market makers and person whose trade actually know) and in most cases it is impossible to tell what it is so most tend to ignore them.

I agree - nice to see buyers returning here. Happy with my chunk at 173p a week or so ago which I will move when it hits 220p as I have too much invested in here at the moment. I am a higher risk investor that some so always wary about recommending any stock but lots of stocks screaming buy at low levels. I look at value opportunities and can afford to sit around for months which is not for everyone. My top 4 stocks from a portfolio of 25 at the moment are BCN on the back of EV growth potential and huge future demand for Lithium, PDL if they can resolve an o/s issue with Tanzanian govt, GGP which has sufficient cash and multiple opportunities for gold strikes in 7 wholly owned licence areas and BLVN which has a $40m free carry for drilling and big cash pile on balance sheet but as always, DYOR?

The uncrossing trade takes place at 0800 and 1635 during auction. Sometimes you will see U/T during the trading day if there is backwardation. The Naker Trader is worth reading as it keeps it simple.

Well it seems that some people have not quite understood what this company has been all about - inorganic growth which requires cash! So, they are reducing debt at the same time as using the proceeds to fund more sle enhancing acquisitions which is a good story unless you are in here for a quick buck. Proof of the pudding is whether management have the bandwidth to continue to integrate without a dip in performance. So far, so good.

Frus - I tend to agree that is should not be too long now before we are all gone. That will be either due to a RTO and a rise in the share price of the new, combined entity with many shareholders selling out due to prolonged periods of suspension or if the company comes out of suspension as SLE with a more attractive P+L and regular cashflow, special div etc. many will be gone after cashing in for the same reason, so sit tight..............well we have no option there do we?

Cityfan - I think it would be worth your while taking time to read some books on trading and how trades are reported. From this comment it shows that you don't understand that the trades after auction (U/T) 1635 are not properly time stamped and could be at any time during the trading day so between 0800-1630. It follows therefore that the �171k trade could be a buy or a sell if it took place this morning when the bid was higher than close. Often those trades reported after auction has some problem or were unusual in some way. So, to save future embarrassment you will now know not to try and act all knowing. Hope this helps you.

I have lost count of the number of online start-ups offering competitive rates and intuitive technology taking business from the high street. Of course there are some ( mainly older) vendors who want the comfort of using a known and trusted high street agency, there are some vendors who are too busy to even contemplate using an online provider as they want the hassle taken away completely, there are some with unique properties who require specific, qualified, agents to add value based on their skills and experience. Now, with a huge market size available to the disrupters to attack, that is and will continue to be a massive opportunity to take market share away from the high street. So, with PB with still only single figure market share and a rapidly developing brand, the upside is unquestionably huge. If I worked within the sector, which is largely unregulated, despite what some say, and If I was properly qualified, experienced and knowledgable but could only charge the same commission as the bloke down the high street who used to be a car salesman I would feel pretty miffed and undervalued and either set up an online offering or find another career. I know that some have done this. My point again is that too many 'average' and unqualified agents charge far too much for simply uploading pictures to a portal, add very little or no value and charge a massive premium relative to the disrupters. Yes there are exceptions to this there always are, but not near enough in my view to justify the delta between the traditional and new pricing models. PB shares are volatile as opinion is divided as always when new models threaten old ones. Those enlightened investors taking a long view will do well. Trading this between 400p and 500p has been relatively easy but timing can be tricky. Lots of people feeling uncomfortable as it threatens long established norms and a snobbery exists in some parts towards those who use PB. This will change rapidly just watch. You have just confirmed that you are or were an estate agent which comes across very clearly. My simple point which most will get is that in unregulated sectors like this in which ANYONE can set up a business and profess to be an expert despite the fact that most have no more knowledge that a reasonably bright person, the old models are dead in the water. Accept it and buy shares here or stop winging or go on a board where you actually own the shares. Perhaps you don't know much about other sectors?

I tend to agree with most of your points Aendjo the only point worth adding is the potential impact of IFRS18 and how this may impact future earnings. There is a risk that the company will be unable to recognise revenue as early as they have in the past so clarity on that is important although the price has been hit so hard, even on a revaluation based on revised forecasts it will still likely be undervalued on a relative basis. Key in my view is confirmation of the new financial terms including term and how tight the covenants will be and how management will use improved efficiency gains to offset increased financing costs etc. I am keeping a close eye on this as it has the potential to receiver strongly if it can weather the next couple of months, encourage the shorts to close and momentum could change in its favour relatively quickly.

I find it mildly amusing that people on here continue to bash this share day in day out. Now, the reasons could be that they are shorting or that they don't fully understand how the world has and will continue to change, they are in denial and need therapy or perhaps they are estate agents and realise that the easy money they have taken in a totally unregulated industry has come to an end, and not before time most people will say. I spoke to a rather pompous partner of a local estate agent at a dinner party at the weekend and asked him when he was selling up and offering him 2 and 6 for his business. He didn't talk to me after that which made it a very enjoyable evening. The old model is dead just face up to the fact and PB, Yopa, and others are the future. In fact I may set an online agency myself and charge a fraction of the old model and still make money - my 16-year old can run it as she can study Rightmove and Zoopla, can talk and write and that is you you need in this job. Looking forward to this price being multiples of where it is in 10 years time.

Skippy, yes I agree it may help here but Zuma wants to make it difficult after his incoherent interview today! A few months ago I was bleating on about the missing parcel in Tanzania and the impact on the bank covenants not to mention management credibility. Over 6 months on and nothing from the government or the company to explain why this has happened and no surprise to me why the share price is where it is. That is why I sold out. If I was the banker to the company leading the syndicate I would not be content with this and at some point the company need to grasp the nettle and write it off but also explain to shareholders why they continue to partner the government at Williamson as it could happen again. Frustrating company to invest in. If management deal with this I would be tempted back in with a more substantial investment but one has to assume they have no answers to give us and hence the risk remains. I do hope they can find a way through this as there is money to be made here.

Guys I am long here and have been for some time. What makes you think that these trades after UT at 1635 are buys when the time stamp means nothing? The market closes at 1630 so these times are academic. These trades could have happened at any time during the trading day and could have been buys or sells. With the short positions slowly reducing they may well be buys but fact is that we have no idea. The shorts are sitting on huge profits and with a market in correction with only modest buying to underpin a nervous investor base I think they will be carefully plotting their next move and there is no guarantee they will liquidate their shorts even if they could buy enough stock in the market. They can afford the price to creep up but with stubborn inflation here and a reallocation of assets going on everywhere it is a tough one to call. For me I will sit tight for a year or two with my core holding and trade any big swings either way. i would be delighted to see shorts get smoked here given the questionable reports circulating but not sure we will see it any time soon.

Thanks Peakview. Markets pretty wary at the moment and cash sitting on the sidelines waiting for confirmation that there won't be further drops. UK inflation figures did not help although some good retail news. My sense is that we will see sideways moves for a little time but at some point those looking to invest will have a field day with specific stocks. 2018 is already in the bag here and with the drop from a high of 250p the valuation is attractive so no doubt there is a lot of upside. I am in no rush and will use this time to research other opportunities as there are lots about.

One of the benefits when a share is suspended is that holders cannot sell on no news when boredom sets in. I am in BLVN and have been a shareholder for around a year and you really need to sit on your hands at times when weeks and months pass-by with no transformative RNS. There is a constant drip, drip, drip of sells there. In both cases however I feel pretty comfortable that when the times comes to announce to the market we will be pretty content and the waiting time in retrospect will be worth it.

Yes it looks as though an institutional holder acquired �1.3m worth at �1.88 so they must be pretty happy. A lot of � cost averaging going on across the markets I sense at the moment. Lazy journalism again trying to make a story when everyone knows they have been in talks for months as the company have made it clear. Journalists often have friends/acquaintances who have positions in these companies we read about i.e., hedge funds who are short and this regurgitation of old news may help them to close their positions. Yes it happens as I have seen it. IRV obtained an extension to their financial agreement to end of March hence surprise, surprise they are discussing new financing terms in Jan/Feb!! Will this go up or down on Monday who knows? The bounce on Wall St end of play yesterday may have signalled a bottom with a necessary correction of circa 10% on most bourses so we could have a good start, up 60/70 points here which may help IRV. I had high hopes for a recovery play here and this is still possible. I sold out to de-risk when CLLN went down and just got back in at more modest levels until greater clarity on possible fund raising, efficiency programme and IFRS 18 impact on future forecasts which could be the canary in the coal mine. New management very focussed and staff deserve a break as they will be worried about their roles.

Suggest you re-read the BMR RNS which says that BMR appreciates the support of JLP! They need all the help they can get here as they have dropped a major clanger however you look at it and Leon should have phoned the Ministry himself to check all was OK as part of DD so he will regret that slip.

The market correction will have had a small impact here but the BMR debacle is the reason why we are taking the pain in my view. If the deal goes ahead and they have their licence reinstated and we proceed with the JV this will bounce back. The risk is if we don't go ahead or if for some reason the licence is not reinstated ( which I think is unlikely) that will cost us not to mention the damage to Leon's rep. So, let's hope meetings take place next week with the ministry in Zambia which puts us back on track and management can concentrate on growing the business rather than clearing up someones mess!
