Production figures were very poor and the annualised figure for the aquisition on the last RNS was think 30% short of what they said it was at thd point of aquisition.

The ratio between oil price rises and tax is not proportionate so your rather simplistic statement and unkind comments are untrue.

1 - The VAT element is variable so flows through to government revenue in the way you suggest . However a mechanism input / output VAT allready returns a large element of this to some segments of the population.

2 - Fuel duty is fixed so the fiscal take does not go up with world oil prices. Its allready earmarked in public expenditure plans.

So ball park what proportion of UK petrol rises are a net gain to the chancellor ? Answer a very small amount. Fuel duty take [ fixed] is 4 times the value of VAT and half the VAT take is returned via traders input claims.

This is the half year report from a year ago..They were awaiting a transaction that would add material value to their EO investment. They have wheeled it out again. How stupid do they think holders are ? Chubster owns about 8% of EO so will know the real position.

On a brighter note whilst other lenders get 40% plus and a little interest paid the detailed loan Note in the accounts shows Chubsters CLNs still at interest rate of circa 12% and accrued NOT paid.
