Copper Revenues6 Feb 2021 15:11
Hi Mickey
I posted this yesterday on how the revenues are obtained
"RE: Havieron05 Feb 2021 16:18
One thing I am unclear of is the price NCM sell their copper concentrate for.
Some companies sell their copper concentrate to the smelter for a price, one price I've seen is $4,000 per ton, other metals are then credited to the supplier, also stuff like arsenic which comes out is a debit.
Cobalt would be in the credits.
Smelter costs are about $65-80 per ton
So the price is difficult to work out.
I have tried from NCM accounts to work backwards from their annual copper revenues divided by the tonnage can't recall what figure I came too."
Gold, silver, molybdenum, uranium and others will come from the copper concentrate and are all classed as credits.
There was some uranium in the MMI results in the Had001 announcement but not seen it mentioned since.
In conclusion I can't see the full copper price being obtained but the credits with the gold and cobalt will more than outway the debits and could even realise more than the copper value.
