After the exploratory drilling in this area what are the next steps
From the RNS
"· Follow up drilling is planned during the 2021 field season to test for further development of brecciated and mineralised lithologies, in particular along strike at the newly defined Teach target.

· Drilling of the new EM targets identified is also planned for the 2021 field season, following the collection of ground EM data which is scheduled to commence in March 2021.

· A more detailed evaluation of drill results will be undertaken on receipt of all analytical data from the 2020 field season and targets will be further assessed and ranked for drill testing."
Teach target
"Ongoing geological interpretation assisted by drill information and regional aeromagnetics has identified a new target within the Scallywag licence named Teach. Teach is located 3km south-south east of the Blackbeard prospect, comprising a series of structures with associated magnetic anomalism piercing the east limb of the Scallywag Anticline. Teach may represent primary mineralisation along the Scallywag Synform providing possible distal mineralisation and pathfinder element response as seen in LOD001, KRD001 and BLD001."

From what I can see from these 3 drills that the area is not in the core area or the hot magma area. We are in the porphyritic alteration zone where the hot gases and liquids have traveled with minerals and cooled.
What we're looking for is the potassic alteration or the hot magma zone.
This could be deeper or further away from this area.
There is a sill under London which looks as though it's travelled, also there they are suggesting skarns which form at the edges of potassic alteration.
Looking at that last sentence in the RNS about Teach it suggests to me they are using the latest drill results to find which vector direction the potassic alteration is.
It's suggesting primary mineralisation at Teach but not ruling out brecciation around Kraken area.
Just an example about the depth Mount Helena that exploded the main magma was 7-12km deep with the explosion caused by a higher blob at 2km deep.

I'm not writing off the magma being deep and connected

What Magic said in his presentation was a in a position of frustration and disbelief at people's unrearched interpretation of the results.
If there is mineralisation below the Wilki the mineralisation that is there won't be left in the ground
These drilling results are like trying to find a town centre without a map. We now have direction indicators to produce a map to the centre.
I'm completely dumb founded why you keep bringing this up

If your nerves are jangling and worried what if Scallywag next drills are the same as the last ( which they probably will be)

Copper

When deciding about whether to hold Ggp shares just think about global countries long term commitment plans on global warming.
There are 13 countries at the moment with plans to phase out petrol engines by 2040 and this is going to have to come sooner as the crisis worsens.
One of the key factors is electric vehicles.
There is approx 0.1 ton of copper in an EV.
China wants to convert all it's fleet to Ev by 2030, that's 250m cars so that's 25,000,000 tons of copper.
2.5m would come from recycling old cars, so that's 22,500,000 tons of copper needed just for their cars.
The USA has about the same numbers.

The discovery of new mines of any size has been falling since 2000 and getting deeper.

22.5m is around 10 Havieron's copper resources just for China's cars.

Looking at the Copper Alliance web site they are saying the supply is adequate but they've added in undersea reserves and the resources already in use and no allowance for other uses like charging points, buildings, solar and wind power.

An electric car needs 183lbs of copper and a bus needs 830lbs.

The demand in the next few years is going to rise dramatically until hydrogen technology gets more economical.
Hydrogen cars have a platinum catalyst and research is on going to eliminate PGMs from these by using a polymer catalyst containing cobalt.
Cobalt is a supply problem until it can be eliminated from batteries which could be 10 years away. It's prices are $43,000 per ton now but forecast to go over $100,000 in the near future.

Ggp have copper and cobalt at Havieron, bulk mining is due to start in 2-3 years time, just as metal prices will surge.

Will I be selling in the near future, well unless something unforeseen happens it doesn't look likely.

Havieron I believe is in the Pilbara but this coming 12 months Ggp are in control of the Juri jv with the aid of Newcrest finance.
It's going to get very busy for Ggp on Juri with targeting Parlay,Goliath,Outamind and Los Diablos together with their own Scallywag drills and Rudall.
GH has already hinted that in the back room they are very busy and new targets on the Juri are being looked at.

I think Scallywag will take up a lot of time in the back room this year. On the border with Blackhills there has been a lot of historical drilling about 70 holes a few by NCM. These were carried out prior to new ways of carrying out the analysis, that can be seen as Blackhills South has developed into about 9 targets including Swan .
The area between Kraken and Teach has also to be drilled/ analysed .
I'm not expecting Panorama until 2023, but hope I'm wrong and it comes earlier.

20 years is a bit unrealistic.
The main ore body has nearly 500m tons and the 80+m round it up to 600 plus the Eastern Breccias. Total around 700m
Telfer can handle 23m per year maybe more if the ball mills go to Havieron.
35 years life of mine is more realistic.
15-16m oz gold
copper = 11m au equivalent
cobalt possible 3m equivalent
That would give Ggp 200,000 ounce gold equivalent going by your figures but over 35 years

Coming out with such a daft statement that Scallywag is pants, absolutely appalling statement with no facts to back it up.
3 holes of 3" diameter over 20km long licence has not even pr.cked it.
If you are going to post , put more thought into it we have enough here to contend without your rubbish

I believe they only sent there cores and samples to Radio Hill for assessment/ Storage before sending to Perth , they would need an independent analysis

Looks like they picked up on the transport issue that I highlighted.
To me it seems they haven't made any firm decisions yet and are not committing themselves to any firm plan.
That remark from GH probably summed it up " Havieron is still in its early stages, still open at depth and the east/north, 65,000m of drilling is very exciting "

Some of these posters you can't filter. They come over as knowing everything and twist every argument and won't stop.
I spent 10 years reading the LGO/Cerp board and there were no end of shady characters there and still on BPC site.
They were the reason I started posting.
The best way is to flood the Board and keep drowning them out and change the headings they tend to back off.
So when one appears it's best to flood the Board with the same message.
Beat them at their own game.
They won't break LSE rules very often so their hard to report.

Feeling a bit low, down in the dumps well do what I keep doing look at HAD005 results. They are just astounding best tonic I know to lift the spirits.

"Greatland announces drill hole HAD005 intersects total mineralisation (combined intercepts) of
275m at 4.77g/t gold and 0.61% copper (275m at 5.75g/t gold equivalent*)
Two wide zones of mineralisation intersected:
118m at 3.08g/t gold and 0.84% copper from 459m (118m at 4.42g/t gold equivalent*),

157m at 6.04g/t gold and 0.44% copper from 660m (157m at 6.75g/t gold equivalent*).
Further to the announcement made on 1 October 2018, Greatland Gold plc (AIM:GGP), the precious and base metals exploration and development company, is delighted to announce exceptional laboratory assay results from the Company's first drill hole (HAD005) of the current campaign at its 100% owned Havieron licence in the Paterson region of Western Australia.
Highlights of HAD005 Drill Results:
• Total combined intercept of 275m at 4.77g/t gold and 0.61% copper returned from:
• An upper zone of 118m at 3.08g/t gold and 0.84% copper from 459m to 577m,

*Gold equivalent values are calculated using a copper conversion factor of 1.5998 from a copper price of US$2.80/lb and a gold price of US$1,200/oz.

That last statement is way out of date
conversion factor now 1.650
copper price $3.77 per lb.

Peak copper 8.46%:))))))))

They're not intending to hedge the price of gold received at Telfer, especially with the price rising.
Current hedging finishes in 2023 in line with Telfer depletion of ore and that is at $1907.

Looking at the problems they're having at Lihir and Golpu no wonder Havieron is going at a pace.

"Havieron Project, Paterson Province, Western Australia
Reporting Criteria: Intercepts reported are downhole drill width (not true width) Au >0.20ppm (0.2g/t Au) and minimum 20m downhole width with maximum consecutive internal dilution of 10m. Also highlighted are high grade intervals of Au >1.0ppm (1g/t Au) and minimum 10m downhole width with maximum consecutive internal dilution of 5m, and intervals of >30g/t with no internal dilution which are greater or equal to 30 gram metres (Au_ppm x length) are tabled. Gold grades are reported to two significant figures, the downhole lengths are rounded to 0.1m which may cause some apparent discrepancies in interval widths. Samples are from core drilling which is PQ, HQ or NQ in diameter. Core is photographed and logged by the geology team before being cut. Half core PQ, HQ and NQ samples are prepared for assay and the remaining material is retained in the core farm for future reference. Each assay batch is submitted with duplicates and standards to monitor laboratory quality. Total depth (end of hole) is rounded to one decimal place for reporting purposes. Collars denoted with a * show partial results, with further significant assays to be reported in subsequent exploration updates."

The reported zones have to be 20m minimum length greater than 0.2g/t with a min consecutive length of 10m before they can be entered into the log.
It doesn't mean the unreported lengths haven't anything inside them, it could be they are over 0.2g/t but below 10m in length.
It also doesn't take into account that there maybe high levels of copper in those zones.
The interval at 1300m of 22.5m has 0.29g/t and 0.68% copper.

I was incorrect with my assumption that the 342m was all in the Eastern zone , here's a breakdown:-
1536-1572m is within the ore body
1572-1586m is the HGZ 14m @19g/t 0.2%
1577.5-1577.8 within the HGZ 637g/t
1586-1879m through the bulge and down into the Eastern Breccias 2g/t 0.11% cu

Still looks like a lot of drilling to find out what is going on but the bulge and Eastern Breccias look they are continuous
That 637g/t isn't in the MRE it's too deep

Had84 started about 600m from the orebody out to the west and at an angle probably didn't hit the ore body till after 800m.
The plan indicates there were 3 or 4 intercepts in the ore body Ggp haven't published these.
On the sections from the Eastern Breccias announcement unless you can see sort of 3 dimensionally it looks like it's in the bulge that can be seen on Had101 but in 3D it's sat outside of the main zone.
It maybe found in the future to be all interlinked.

Initially I used the ovoid formula but from my background of land surveying I used the grid method to obtain a more accurate acreage.
By ovoid formula area = 184,000
By grid method = 176,000
after deduction of the dyke area

That drill Paddy mentioned is 342m long totally in the Eastern Breccia outside of the ore body.
The extension to the SE and E is Had101
This is my post on it a couple of weeks ago after the Quarterly Results:-

"Great infill results confirming the Inferred results can expand.
I've been concentrating on Had101, it's 1748m long at 67 degrees about 1550m true depth . It's been testing the extension to the SE.
From the cross sections this extension happens between 1300-1600m true depth and continues at depth and around the SE crescent up the eastern side to the North crescent. It's all outside the crescent..
The dimensions of this area between 1300-1600 depth scale 800m long x 500m wide and continues at depth.
Had101 in this zone is in the concreted breccias, the results show mostly gold the copper looks to be getting lower grades the further it goes.
My earlier assumptions of the Decline heading for 1200m depth of ore looks on course."

This extension is outside the High grade zone but adjacent to it.

At the moment the Eastern breccias look to be disconnected from it and maybe sat above it.
These breccias need drilling to find their extents depths,widths and length but at a rough guesstimate with a scale rule and drilling log depth I'm estimating 900,000ounces

I used the information from the last quarterly presentation which highlighted the depth increase and the bulge at the base from the SE around the east to the NE which considerably altered the size of the oval to 800m x 500m x300m deep.

From last nights presentation Telfer reserves are dropping fast , the open pit grades are now 0.4g/t and 0.6g/t.
When added to their underground averages of 2.1g/t the total average is only 0.7g/t gold and 0.07% copper.
There's no reserve life posted after 2023.

I also noticed they have contracted out the open pit and underground to 2 different contractors McMahon and Byrnecut
