I don't believe vanadium should be used in conjunction with green technology.
It's not green it comes from the remains of burning coal in steel manufacturing, mainly from China and Russia.
There's not enough investment in new mines to replace that source.
The technology for vanadium batteries probably won't be used in the long term due to burning coal issues.

Greatland Gold the precious and base metals exploration and development company
Clusters of elevated gold, silver, arsenic, copper and iron in MMI results are proximal the peak co-incident gravity and magnetic response.
An elevated MMI response in pathfinder elements (cerium, lanthanum, uranium and lead) to the immediate SE of Havieron suggests primary basement mineralisation may be present along strike in a structural contact for up to 1.5 kilometres. Peak MMI responses over Havieron were 4ppb silver, 70ppb arsenic, 25ppb gold, 834ppb cerium, 710ppb copper, 53ppm iron, 284ppb lanthanum, 860ppb lead and 112 ppb uranium.

No mention of cobalt at that point

Arsenic in itself is a debit to the AISC but there are a lot of arsenoids that contain other elements like tellurides that contain gold.
I am unsure what other elements besides
gold,copper,silver and iron can be retrieved at Telfer but a lot of other minerals will come as credits to the AISC from the smelters in SE Asia

This is a post I did about the sub level caving which will pay for the deeper mine:-

6,000,000 tons per annum @3.8g/t divided by 31.1
= c733,000 ounces
x $1,000 after taking out costs
= $733,000,000 per annum for gold

copper 6,000,000 tons at 0.6%
=36,000 tons
x $9,200
= c$331,200,000

Total c$1,064,000,000 per annum
30%= $319,200,000 from 2024 per annum

THAT IS $319,200,000 Per Year

£228,658,920 per year for Ggp for 9 years
54m tons divided by 6m = 9 years
4,200,000,000 shares = 0.054c per share per year = £0.486p earnings per share just for the sub level caving not the bulk caving or any credits like Cobalt

To get production from the bulk caving operation will cost $1.6bn for the 2 companies but production is going to start earlier with sub level caving which should fund the bigger operation.

All the majors in Oz seem to be partnering at the moment, I personally think the partnership will continue.
Funding at present isn't a problem and in 2 or 3 years no problem paying it back.
It will be a good share for the long term but the near future looks very promising too.

What you have said about the MRE that officially we have 4.2m oz gold equivalent is true but it doesn't mean it will stay at that level. The figures used to work out the gold equivalent value have increased and at today's prices the copper would give an equivalent value of 4.32m oz.
Eventually other credits will also lift the equivalent value especially the cobalt, so the MRE is not a fixed value but officially it's the only figure we have.

Havieron some copper, somebody has not been following the situation.
Havieron as it stands could be a larger producer of copper than Rio's Winu one of the larger copper finds in the last few years.
Winu has not got much gold, Havieron has a lot of gold . MRE quantities were based on figures way lower than today's prices.
When the credits are factored in Havieron will be way more valuable than Winu.
A banker but you can't see figures.

In September I read a paper on copper and nickel:-
how chalcopyrites are formed and why copper and nickel are not high grades together.

Introduction to Nickel Sulphide Exploration.

A sulphide liquid will separate from a magma when it becomes saturated with sulphur.
Nickel,copper and the Platinum group of Elements have a strong tendency to partition into the sulphide liquid (depending on a D factor).
Physical accumulation of the sulphide liquid leads to ore formation.
The D factor is determined by the amount of MgO in the magma
When MgO is at about 30% in weight of magma Nickel grades are at about 18% and copper 2%.
when MgO is at 5% the Nickel is down to about 3% and copper upto to about 6%.
Also the D factor is effected by the FeO in the magma.
Most natural magma have restricted FeO and also the composition magmatic sulphides is also restricted.

The sulphide liquid cooling from 1300-1100C can be split into 2
The sulphide liquid containing copper and platinum group can be separated from the magmatic sulphide which contains the nickel and iron rich.

In the aero magnetic survey it can pick these Nickel/iron rich ores with high readings and the copper ores with a lower reading

It's why there's not much mention of Nickel at Havieron and why Bromus is Nickel and not copper.

What has that to do with Canning you might asked , well that paper I read has now gone but I found "Discovery of the West Musgrave Ni-Cu-PGE Sulphide District"
Tracks the history of Nickel mining from 1994 when Russia flooded the market.
Lots of geology around the Canning Basin, lot of maps.
Some really good topics on that site, some a bit deep.

The gold equivalent values reflect the copper not necessarily any other credit.
At the time of Had 005 the eq value was worked out at $1200 gold price and $2.80lb copper to give a conversion factor of 1.5998%
At the MRE gold = $1400 and copper $3.60
to give a con factor of 1.65%
Today gold price =$1700 and copper $4.60 this would give a conversion factor above 1.70%

This will increase the value of Havieron considerably.
It will also increase the MRE figures too.

From the very first drill I knew this was special.

Highlights of HAD005 Drill Results:
• Total combined intercept of 275m at 4.77g/t gold and 0.61% copper returned from:
• An upper zone of 118m at 3.08g/t gold and 0.84% copper from 459m to 577m,

7.5mt 32.83g/t gold and 1.20% copper .
• A lower zone of 157m at 6.04g/t gold and 0.44% copper from 660m to 817m,

5.5mt 16.62g/t gol and 0.91% copper from 663m
38mt 20.17g/t gold and 0.82% copper from 700m
• Upper and lower zones separated by an unmineralised mafic intrusion from 577m to 660m.
• Results significantly extend the known high grade mineralisation established in the first drilling campaign and establish new peak grades for the mineralised system, including peak gold of 211.30g/t (previously 137.69g/t) and peak copper of 8.45% (previously 4.11%).
• Multiple notable high-grade intervals in both upper and lower zones including:
0.5m at 64.1g/t gold and 5.38% copper from 464.5m
0.5mt 202.76g/t gold and 0.83% copper from 486.5m
0.5m at 211.3g/t gold and 3.56% copper from 487.5m, and
1m at 97.65g/t gold and 8.45% copper from 702m
4m at 103.82g/t gold and 0.86% copper from 713m.
*Gold equivalent values are calculated using a copper conversion factor of 1.5998 from a copper price of US$2.80/lb and a gold price of US$1,200/oz.

That last statement is way out of date
conversion factor now 1.650
copper price $4.10per lb.

Cobalt

The cost of cobalt is very high due to the production of the cobalt cathodes being very complex.
I will try and explain it simply as I can:-
There are 3 ways Havieron could get its cobalt.
Copper/cobalt sulphides the main source at Havieron.
You have to follow the process through to the electrolysis producing the copper cathode from the copper anode.
The anodes and sludge from that process are then turned back to a molten form and lime is added to increase the PH, the idea is to make copper cobaltite and further processing to remove the Nickel and Zinc sulphides to leave a cobalt hydroxide.
The cobalt hydroxide is then used in electrolysis to form a pure cobalt cathode.

The second way of gaining cobalt is from the Arsenic Sulphides which is another lengthy process .
After the roasting process the concentrate powders are leached with sulphuric acid and used to form the copper/cobalt anodes and used in the electrolysis again to form the cathodes.

As you can tell it's not an easy process and I've simplified it.
In copper oxides the cobalt content is about 5% of the copper so there won't be vast amounts at Havieron but in cobalt terms substantial
