I don't believe your scenario will work in this situation.
The target is a very High grade pocket maybe 70m thick and deep, it is bordered on the east by the Dyke and tails off to the west behind it is a non mineralised mafic intrusion between 50 and 70m thick.
I've been informed by another mining engineer that Board and pillar will be the scenario here

The 6m tons has come from Hannams referring to the mining of the HGZ of 54m tons in 9 years.
What they have said is the current Decline plan is not capable of sustaining that removal and other options should be considered.
A couple of things that will slow down the Decline construction are firstly the DEcline is going down with the dip and it's slower to excavate and clean. Secondly the construction of the Hypersaline water cells and the rate they fill up could have an adverse effect on the progress. Cell 2 is not due to commence until May 22.
I've been told there is another type of option which is Board and Pillar with the Dyke being one of the pillars, so that could be one of the 3 options SB was on about

I appreciate your input, from my understanding reading the mining proposal they state there are 5 of these Development Jumbos. I'm not saying there is going to be but sounds probably too many.
There's 2,750m of initial decline plus 900m of ancillary tunnel work.
I would imagine the approvals/ mining plan will be targeted so that the Decline can continue on its way down without having to wait, with a production drill coming in to start the stoping.
From all discussions I've been having April is a fair chance of ore coming out , but not much to start with, just enough to get the plant going at Telfer.

My earlier post I think described the sequence.
The Decline plan has been aimed at our highest grade zone, Stoping will or can practically start as soon as they are given the all clear .
I'm imagining a slow start building up momentum to 2m tons per year from roughly next April but there maybe some sample loads coming out prior to that but I'm not relying on it. If there is sample loads they will be mixed with Telfer weak grades, so if there is a first pour it won't be pure Havieron stuff.
According to Hammond the Decline can only take 2m tons pa, so to get ore from the SLC a new conveyor Decline will be needed at 1:5.5 grade whereas the transport Decline is a 1:7 which I think is steep.
I believe there will be 2 layers of SLC for the crescent @350m of ore will go right round the crescent and then a deeper one at 700m to the side under the Decline.
There's loads of work to do to get to 350m work face
Hannams have said 2024 start production for SLC
also the Bulk Cave full production 2028.

Production then
2022 less than 2m tons
2023 2m tons
2024 less than 6m tons
2025,26,27 6m tons

The 6m has come from Hannams original estimate of 54m tons over 9 years but that had included the HGZ in the Northern breccias, I'm not sure yet how they will extract that at this present moment but additional ore will come from the HGZ breccias between the crescent and the Dyke as I think this section will all be SLC

If you don't mind when I get a chance can I email you through Bottle Rocket easier through diagrams.
There are 6 raised vents some are for escape. The biggest is 4.5m x170m deep but I read somewhere the big one was 7.5m but I must have misinterpreted.
The first pour I'm not sure before April, I would rather them do it safely than rush.

To get a feel for this initial Decline depth of 420m here are some comparisons
Highest point of the Malvern hills 425m
Clifton Suspension bridge 75m
The Shard 310m
Eiffel tower 324m

So when you think of the vent being constructed upwards of 170m that's more than twice the Clifton Suspension bridge.
There's a hell of a lot of work to be done.

Be wary of air source heat pumps, living in an old semi in Worcester new neighbours installed one on the attached garage roof.
The vibrations were awful, it was more like vibrations inside the brain. We moved out.
There is an issue too with being too close to bedrooms

Everything about Havieron is moving at a fast pace what is read or written about a month ago seems to get out of date very quickly.
When I used to produce site production plans on big construction projects if I was being realistic and the dates weren't met I came in for a lot of flack or had to work harder.
The world record for mine Decline was by Byrnecut at around 760m per month, to achieve that they need to achieve 8m per shift 3 times a day .
The right conditions have to be met.
I am being cautious but the rock they are upto the spiral is an aquifer, water slows things up a lot.
From the spiral it then goes through silt stone with a clay content, so it will be interesting to see how they manage the moisture content with the clay. It then passes through sandstone aquifer this could be hard rock. The spiral continues then through more siltstones before entering the high saline content rock tillite where the Decline straightens to the ore body through this tillite.
It might break the World record if they can handle the situation but I would say December to complete it. It's in writing that the vents start December.
First production conservatively I would April to June by that I mean stoping the SE crescent i.e. 2m tons per year.
Prior to that maybe a few sample loads as the test for Telfer , these will then be ramped up gradually once the Health and safety side gives thumbs up.
The approvals will start when the PFS is issued, the MRE Indicated will come out prior to the PFS which has been planned for Q4 but SB said it maybe September probably effected by the speed of the Decline.
Indicated results cannot be reported alongside Inferred results.
The SE infill drilling hasn't gone very deep maybe 600m max if the MRE comes out too early it could be a damp squib, it needs the Northern breccias to be infilled and they are deeper.
The rigs at PRE have drilled Goliath and now on Outamind and then off to Los Diablos. It may then move to Tama but I doubt it.
Parlay on Blackhills will be next.
After that it will be on to Ggp assets Swan first, Archie may be next, or back to London to find that magnetic zone.
To follow Teach then maybe Rudall if time.

I would imagine the stoping operation will be confined to the SE crescent as beyond it there is the 50-70m non mineralised mafic intrusion or waste rock.
I have in my head a picture of a further Decline going around to the North Crescent and stoping tunnels coming off it targeting the small pockets of HGZ in the Northern Breccias. Just one option though

I haven't been able to do much research lately with other commitments.
Since last Summer with the Havieron story progressing fast, posters here and elsewhere are having a great time forecasting what's going to happen. Views and timelines are continually changing and I am continually revisiting my thoughts on the subject.
My current thoughts on the MRE with current prices rising is to leave it as long as possible. If one is issued earlier as Zoros is suggesting Q2/21 it will be a weak Indicated resource , by that I mean restricted in size of the SE crescent.
Disappointing figures will give the usual effect on the sp.
Leaving it till September will allow far more of the 65k drill results to be included and still leave a lot more for revisions.
The SE crescent infill drills were targeting the top of the crescent and not going below 600m of ore

This is from a mining chap talking about Decline construction after that world record set by Byrnecut:-
"760m a month .... 30 shift month ? 7 day week 3 shift day surely ?

As a development miner and then shift boss inthe early days I would pull 2.8 m rounds using 3m drill steel (naughty) and using either 9 hole burn cut or wedge cut in hard quantities.
For ease of calc let's call it 3m advance so 3 rounds a shift.
Or 4 rounds a day at 2m advance per blast. I suspect Byrnecut use 2.4m steel to give 2m advance.
The best I have known was 2 blasts a shift ie 4m advance per shift in a 6x6 twin haulage."

8m a shift looks like world record rate and also depends on the rock hardness.

Vent shafts could be started earlier at that rate.
For drilling vents upwards the raise borer machine needs to be sat on bedrock on a concrete pad, so a big hole expected or maybe concrete piles.

Stoping the first ore will involve a series of tunnels leaving pillars of ore in place. This method could be used to get to the Northern Breccias HGZ but they are deep so might need vertical shaft downwards.
SLC doesn't leave pillars so is a much better option.

The present Decline design can only handle 2m tons a year so stoping would be ok for this.
SLC needs a conveyor Decline also an underground crusher unit

As I said I thought you were very brave to produce that piece of work and I have been offering my advice on it since you started it but seem unwilling to correct the errors.
For instance I had in my post offered 2 scenarios of timing for constructing the Decline , one was 8m per day with a single drill road-header or 8m per shift which I couldn't have known how many shifts.
The fact is they are using a double road-header and possibly 3 shifts.

I'm not criticising at all but doing something like that needs adjusting as time goes on otherwise it can look misleading.
I can't find where your timelines have come from which you point out are proven facts.

The PFS has a purpose of providing an initial mining plan in able to get sample ore out to send to Telfer. This ore is in the SE crescent zone next to the end of the Decline and is our best grades.
We can't mine this ore without the Australian government approvals which the PFS being issued to them.
These approvals will be environmental, sustainability, Health and Safety, reinstatement.
To gain Health and Safety approvals will need inspections that the Decline is safely constructed, ventilation systems working and in order.
Now the Vent shafts aren't due to start till December, sooner if the Decline construction is accelerated but to construct 6 vents by Raise boring you need the Decline in place for the muck to drop into the trucks.
The Stoping plan if adopted will require further Decline work not much but the Decline plan at the moment is to the top of the ore so they need approvals to get a bit lower.
The SLC has a lot more work in mine Decline development to get 350m down and only for the SE crescent. This should be ready for production H1/24.
Bulk caving is major Decline works Full production according to Hannams is 2028.
You have to look at 5,6,7 years timeline for that.

I hope you don't mind me being critical but your timelines are too optimistic .
Can I ask where SB and SD have said we will have an MRE inferred and Indicated Q2/21. The only mention of a resource estimate is will come prior to the PFS . That is in writing, SB has said a PFS could be September but in writing many times Q4 which has been further stated by SD.
7 months first pour that's way too soon.
There is no N5 and A9 is a tiny target they won't do that yet

The Decision to Mine is just a formality to be signed off appropriately by both company Boards but NCM need Havieron to be producing as soon as they can to prevent Telfer closing which would be a costly disaster.
It's Telfer's demise that's driving the pace at Havieron, there's nothing else around that could replace the quantity and quality of Havieron.
The NCM team saw from the first few drills that this was Telfer's saviour so the early investment into Havieron was inevitable .

Big push by the Tasmanian government to get mines up and running at the moment, so some activity might be forthcoming, I hope we don't sell
