I haven't seen anything around Telfer of any significance at the moment including Antipa stuff.
The only MolyB I've seen is at London but it wasn't a lot.
It's a wonder NCM don't start producing copper cathodes at Telfer save a lot of transport

I'm not sure where you have 25% from unless the depth is around 600m.
At the time of the MRE the ore depth was around 1,000m, at the time of the presentation it went to 1300m of ore.

For 900m of ore the 54m tons in the MRE is about 12%.
For 1200m of ore the 54m is about 7%
For 1300m of ore about 6%

It all depends which depth you are going by

There is a crusher at the top of the Box cut and waste ore will be placed in the new waste dump next to the raw cell pond.
The ore will be tested for grades at Telfer before it is mixed with Telfer's they will know what to credit the jv.
As the years go by more mines are likely to send their ore to Telfer

Hi Bamps- just having a read through the JORC 2012 regs. It seems that they could report both indicated & inferred on the same public report but couldn't combine them. They have to include diagrams to clarify which sections are included in which category. Also they are not allowed to complete any kind of economic study using the inferred category and that is why they needed to "upgrade" the initial inferred on the sulphide zone to indicated. We know this drilling was done months ago as they mentioned it 2 reports ago so there could be a possibility that the indicated MRE on the sulphide zone could be complete (or nearly). The PFS would be based on this MRE but we should get another larger inferred one probably at the same time.

A larger Inferred one well maybe but as I said before the PFS is all about initial mining plans and not the bulk mining

The biggest issue with Havieron is the cover, it's been a hindrance with the drilling and it's a hindrance with the mining plan but without it Newcrest would have started mining years ago.
Bulk caving is a fairly new technique and is perfect for Havieron.
Most mines open pit first but were down to deep for that.
Telfer though is the key, it needs high grade to mix with it's weak grades whatsleft of it. There's nothing found yet other than Havieron adequate enough to save the Telfer mine and plant.
the PFS, FS and Decision to mine are just regulatory hurdles to overcome.
The first 4 drills were when mining companies knew this was a big find and then Had005 came along and confirmed it.
This is a big ore body and it has big plus's.
A vertical ore body (less waste)
Sulphides rich
Gold/copper mineralisation
Rising demand/prices
Favourable jurisdiction
Sound management
Covid free( touch wood)
No historical artefacts
Very close to a huge process plant

A few weeks ago we were informed that 45k metres of drilling were still to be announced I would have thought about half of that may be ready for the PFS MRE.
The PFS is required for initial early phases of the mine, it doesn't need to include Inferred for the bulk mining.
What it needs is the SE crescent Indicated top and maybe middle sections for the stoping and SLC operations. This also includes Indicated for the Northern breccias High grade zone so a mining plan can be formulated for that section.

I can't see much exploration drilling after the 65k are completed, the depths are too extreme now to do from surface it needs to be done from inside the Decline, that's for depth, lower section of SE crescent, Eastern and Northern Breccias, maybe the Northern extension

I think the drill results are way ahead of the MRE values but way behind people's expectations especially mine :))
As I posted yesterday I hope we don't have an early MRE it might hold up to expectations at this point in time.

The PFS is a major milestone and will be a major influence on Havieron and Ggp.

Zoros asked me a question about the quantities of gold that the assay office has and what happens to the sales of these assets.
The cores have 2 sizes NQ = 47.5mm dia. and HQ = 67.5mm dia.
The cores are assessed by geologists for minerals, not all the cores are sent for assay especially ones with high waste content, these are sent to the core yard. The cores with minerals are cut in half , one half goes to the core yard the other to the assay office.

Approximately 200,000m of cores is approximately 2,000 tons less 50% cut in half, less 33% for the cover sequence gives about 11oz gold in the assay.
That's very rough calcs as not all of the cores are assayed only samples. All samples have to be 25kg max weight.
I'm presuming unused cores are sent back the core yard library as Intertek only store for 90 days and then charge per sample per day

Indicated is a reserve where it is quantified and measured, and ready to be mined and sent to the processing plant.

Inferred is a probable / possible resource

Indicated = resource
Inferred = reserves

Those 3 drills were not reported, the only thing they say is they didn't reach mineralisation.
Getting through this 420m of cover has been an historical drilling issue and one of the reasons they like to re enter holes.
These issues were one of the reasons that
the 1995 drilling campaign resulted in Havieron being abandoned and Outamind lost one of the drill strings.

I believe the Indicated and Inferred can't be reported together under the Jorc rules.

some have been reported twice due to holes being deepened.
Holes 10,27,30 have not been reported as they didn't reach the ore.

If we do get an early MRE it may not include all that we would like it to have.
I feel it may have an opposite effect if the results aren't substantially higher than the first one.
The Indicated results will only be for SE crescent and parts of the Northern breccias so when I mean substantial I would be looking for 7-8m oz in that area.
An inferred result can't be issued with the Indicated I wouldn't like to guess at this stage what areas they would include in this, it certainly won't be all of the ore body

I hope we do not get an early MRE as I was telling Zoros, 2 reasons really if you think of the last MRE with the shell diagrams.
The individual shells that hadn't been drilled will need to be included in the Indicated resource, the more of these shells that can be included the better, with 20,000m outstanding some of this is sure to be in this area and the northern breccias, so more time the better.
The other thing with these shells is that the gold and copper prices have been rising so the longer the MRE then the shells become individually more economically viable .
With rising prices the cut off grades used for the shells also become more viable allowing more ore to be included.

It could be one of the longest, the results with the Eastern Breccias were long and the drills from the NW end to right down deep in the SE crescent was exceptionally long when they found the SE extension.
The position of these latest pads suggests to me these results won't be all that deep, although the one pad to the NE could have been targeting deep in the Northern Breccias.
To target the eastern extension perimeter deep they have to come from the SW pads.
The central pad looks as though it was targeting the Northwest crescent to about 900m of ore as they weren't far enough back to target lower. It may also have been used to complete the SE crescent infilling, this infilling should be complete now for 600-700m depth of ore.
This depth should account for 2 layers of SLC caving of 350m each, the best grades in the crescent are not a full crescent downwards, the first 350m is but the next 350m is shorter length under the SW end by the Decline

My thoughts on next weeks results:-
As of the last presentation there had been 20,000m drilled but not reported.

Infill drilling of the Northern breccias so that the HGZ can be added to the Indicated volumes.

The Northern perimeter of the ovoid between 100m of top of ore and 900m hadn't been explored before I believe it could be 50-100m wider.

The extent of the Northern extension might have been explored but is deep below 900m of ore, possibly 1500-2000m long drills

We might possibly get 6 or 7 1200m long drills and 5 or 6 1500m drills , I'm not sure if we will get the full 20,000m reported.

We might get the first glimpse of a new target but that may be in the next 45,000 . This is where the exploratory long drills for depth and step outs may happen especially the eastern breccias
