By depth I've been comparing to the Malvern Hills
Indicated depth 1 -2 times the height
Inferred 2-3 times the height
Unknown edges 3-4 times the height
Depth 4-6 times or more
Mind boggling

Most of the edges we don't know about are deep, so it's quite possible after tonight we will still be open to the NW,N,NE,E &SE and also at depth which definitely won't be known

sg 2.75 1,160,000 tons @5g/t = 186k oz
sg 4 = 1,687,000 tons @5g/t = 271k oz

@$1,100 p oz after costs that's a difference of $93,400,000 a substantial sum

I'm really keen on finding out what the specific gravity of the HGZ pocket will be.
Higher sg less ore needed to get out for same tonnage.
From this first pocket I'm not expecting a great deal of waste.
It will put less pressure on the transport to Telfer.
That is still something concerning me.

I would guess approx 4.
But it is specific to our mix of minerals. From what we have seen so far I think our ore is very variable over relatively short distances so making any calc or sample only very locally applicable.

I do know I mined quartzite at 2.6 and that was very consistent. Our quartz rich conglomerates (with feldspars) were taken as 2.75.

I think our sulphide zone by the looks of the cores has a very variable and large assemblage of sulphides ..... with silica, feldspars Cs/Mg carbonated and iron minerals.

As I say assemblage and proportions highly variable but for me I feel 4 is fair even though my habit is to call everything 2.75"

"All my calcs have based on 2.75 mainly because of the breccias, with an abundance of chalcopyrite in the sulphides I was hoping for 4.1-4.3 so at 5g/t would be fantastic.
Would this hardness of this HGZ have any detrimental effect on the plant?
I remember Jim06 talking about the hardness and having to mix softer rock with it"

So the hardest are the qtr and felds and maybe pyrite which are very commonly put through milling (ball and rod mills)
So I dont see milling as a std process as a problem. If the gold is extremely fine and locked up minutely in say the qtr then extra milling beyond the norm might be required to break really fine. This will take extra time and electricity."

I think you will find I am correct with my assessment of AISC costs, the figures I used were roughly Hannams quotes.
Havieron is not a tier 1 yet.
AISC costs will fall overtime when credits start to be returned from the smelters and transport costs are dealt with.

New mining technologies are the vectoring sciences and related technologies to be able to analyse them.
This science has only been around for a few years, gravity and magnetic have been around a few years.
Also drilling technology has come on in leaps and bounds these last few years, in the 1990's it wasn't good enough to cope with Havieron's cover

Lihir has serious issues with its geology, the waste/ tailings were being pumped out to Sea, this had to stop and they started mining another section so they could carry on.
I their last presentation it looks like they know how to sort it, so the plant shutdown could be because of this issue

Copper leaching won't be used on Havieron ore, too much gold will be lost and any other mineral.
High grade gold ore goes into a cyanide circuit from which gold dores are formed and the residue into a flotation process. The froth from this goes on to make copper concentrate powder.
That's a bit simplified

That HGZ pocket at the top of the SE crescent near the end of the Decline is between 1.2m tons to 1.5m tons.
The Decline needs to go down a further 100m or thereabouts to be at the bottom of that, it will also need to be extended around the crescent to gain access to another pocket.
There's about 2 years worth from these , by then the SLC may nearly be ready

Before I get spears thrown at me again like last weekend I think we will be in for a slow build up of ore removal. Like anything you have to get used to a new way of working before a progressive build up of speed.
This time next year will be very exciting ,
I can't imagine what the rest of the years going to be like , with more possible positive news coming in all directions and even Callum's positive statement on Scallywag showing directions of promise.

If they start stoping the high grade zone this time next year the revenues are looking awesome.
Hannams are suggesting a max of 2m tons of ore per annum.
2m tons at about 5g/t = 321,000 oz
@$1950 per oz less $850 costs =$1,100
321,000 x 1100 = $353,000,000
30% to Ggp =$106m pa or nearly $9m per month.

On top of that there's the copper
2m tons @0.6% = 12,000 tons @$10,000 =$120m x 30% =$36m to Ggp

You asked a very general question, the only real answer I can give you is to do what I do and read up on some of the worlds largest mines and you will see that most of them have open pits. The exploration drilling has to stop at some point, cash revenues need to be earned to do further exploration drilling. It's then further mineralisation is found.
The end of this years drilling will see a gap till revenues start at Havieron.

I'm glad you answered Fastjet's question so superbly.
The assets and how they're managed is my only criteria.
If I was trading I would be concerned but I'm not.
If investors have bought in high then yes it is a worry especially if you were in a share that was being managed badly and issuing shares like confetti but that's not Ggp there's no sign of that happening with a slight exception of a buying opportunity.
Day to day share movement is not in my remit, all I care about is that this share will be a lot higher than it is today, and when is the question?

My hope is for the bottom ovoid expansion to form a circle rather than an ovoid.
The top ovoid I think can expect a little expansion but not much that size is around the 475m ton mark for 900m depth of ore.
The bottom ovoid is still open to the N,NE,E,SE and depth
The depths at the moment are between 900m and 1300m depth of ore = 400m

If the bottom ovoid expanded to a circle of 1,000m diameter then the tonnage will increase to 940m tons in the bottom section and still open at depth.

Is that possible?
Well before it all started the surveys were suggesting that size.

The exciting thing is the concreted breccias look as though they are more prominent at that depth 1 to 2g/t

I remember you being gobsmacked when I suggested my thoughts on that survey drawing, it partly came true after the last presentation, if it can just take in Lake Havieron and towards that small target.

Mine are all educated guesses, the pad positions indicate roughly where they are or have been drilling.
To get to the Eastern breccias for instance at depth they need to come from the SW pads I don't think I've seen that happening, to get to it from the NE the pads need to be a lot further away.

The central pad can't be finding deep extensions it's too close for either the SE or the NW and that's where the extensions are. They could go from there and find a shallower extension above the Eastern Breccias and carry on NE to find that small target between Havieron and Apollo but I suspect it's too far for the drill.
The only chance really of finding further step outs from this central pad is going long and deep towards Lake Havieron.
I shall be over the moon if it continues to take in the Lake Havieron area(much bigger calcs)

The only hope of an external find is if they target that small target from the NE pad but I'm suspecting it's fairly deep and connected to the Eastern Breccias at depth or contiguous as they mentioned in the presentation.
This target and Apollo is more likely to be targeted in the 45k drills which I don't feel has started to happen yet and maybe at the end of the drills.

These 20k drill results will be mainly infilling to Northern breccias and crescent zones, some infill drilling to the SE crescent below the MRE 600-900 depth, also some expansion drilling to the N,NE,E

I feel Ggpt's assessment of the forth coming drill results is a bit too optimistic.
According to the last presentation there are about 20,000m of drills to be reported and about 45,000 still left to drill.
Paddy has said that the MRE infilling is complete, well it maybe for the SE crescent but they didn't go deep and the Northern breccias in the MRE are in amongst the 20k.
The position of the drill pads suggests this to me,from the NE they have targeted the Northern Breccias, from the centre pads suggests they are targeting the Northern Crescent and maybe the northern and eastern perimeters down to 900m.
I'm expecting about 15 drill results averaging c1000m.
i hope I'm wrong but I'm not expecting too much growth drilling till July, this is where they will expand the perimeters but not the depth ones, these will be from the Decline.
The August results may be targeting further out zones towards Apollo.

Too much optimism can lead to disappointment.
A little optimism can lead to great excitement (aka Eastern breccias) :))
