I forgot to mention the high silver content in some of the rock samples 106g/t

They picked up rock samples from Saddlereef, Rogers and northern granites. Far as I could make out off the ground which is why the sp spiked at the time, some may have been undercover.
Saddlereef was described as an 800m strike length increased later to 1400m then split into 2.
A29 is at the north end which is where it breaches the surface.
Drill no 10 showed 36m at 0.39g/t from surface.
The southern end of Saddlereef is under 250m of cover.
There’s some copper shows mainly in the centre, it’s not like Havieron but it’s an open pit target but needs more clarification

The water extraction timeline plan shows a start date of Dec/Jan .
The vent shaft foundation excavation has commenced 9th July .

My works programme for this :-
Excavations for both vents 1.2m and 4.5m down to a solid formation base.
Set up drilling rig on foundation level for 2 pilot holes one in the centre of both vents down to the Decline level.
Set up pad for raise borer machine.
Decline passes site of the vents
2nd jumbo in Decline to form base of vent tunnels.
Raise borer to start both vent excavations.
Material falls into the Decline trucks.
Remove Raise borer and start reinforcement to evasee fan base.
Concrete fan base.
Curing time.
Make good ground works.
Erect evasee fan units.
Temporary diesel generator to run Evasee fan .
Place temporary 30” fan in the smaller escape vent.
Bring forward works to the second evaporation pond from May 22.
Move Raise borer down to top of first spiral and set up new pad, bore down to next ring.
Continue to move borer until it reaches bottom of the spiral.
Set up air doors
Set up secondary vent system in top of tunnels.
Start setting up cooling circuit from surface.
Continue Decline to ore face.

When I started talking ore in mill first half next year folks seemed bewildered and somewhat sceptical.
But clearly it flies in the face of instinct to think a miner will arrive at an ore body and be able to resist the opportunity to take some to mill ...... particularly since our mill is ready and waiting.
Initially as bulk samples (expo tons) which I am sure will be a few tens of thousand tons.
Following my mention of the Board & Pillar mining layout we have had PFS brought forward with potential to bring forward the BFS and so the decision to mine.
Opens the way for early Mining permit and so production extraction ( not expo tonnage) below 420m.

crack-a-jack crew I dont think a March first production date is out of prospect and declaration of first Hav product in quarter ending June.
Also following my mention of my belief B&P might be way to go I believe I noticed an increase in Sandeep's enthusiasm.
Of course he isnt a trained miner so I "imagine in my head" drawing his attention to possibility he went to his planners and told them to get on with it.
Add the extraordinary pressure he is under with falling pog (Telfer) ; production March to June production will be very welcome.!!”

Evasee construction

This web site shows the installation of the fan units, if you scroll down there is a photo showing 2 evasee units.
Paddy has a photo showing 3 evasee units, I’m not sure which one they will use but I would imagine it’s the large 3 one. That’s some work to complete for March. I can’t see the temporary fan of 30” being adequate for Health and Safety Regulations and they would require an escape way.

They will have excavated down to solid bedrock !! Then laid a concrete pad and support for the raise bore machines.
I imagine they are drilling now if not complete.

“ They could be. But we shouldnt underestimate the work to establish the concrete pad on top. We have some idea it might be 10 to 15 m to get to solid bed rock below surface cover. This will be a significant construction ....... for two. They may leave a void to save on the concrete pour....... but usual stuff with reinforcement and pinning.
Check out Pembroke for a pic on how things go wrong.
But if I had the chance I would put the pilot hole in ahead of the decline xcut to vent and escape raise and then pull the string back to avoid blast or even take it out altogether to pilot the next door raise and again pull back too avoid blast.
Then when u/g ready bring the cutter heads in.
I expect they will use the same machine for both holes but different cutter head obviously.
U/g will be grateful for vent asap.
Do the escape raise first put a temp arrangement on that with 30" fan on top to extract whilst the major construction of the 4.5m evasee and fan are installed. That way best ventilation whilst the decline races away. Good vent means good working conditions hence better safety and production.
Once they hole through with the 4.5m vent # they remove the top machine and drop a reinforced concrete lid on top (one they made earlier whilst doing concrete pad)
That way they preserve the temp vent arrangement with the 30" fan on the escape way whilst they construct the big fan installation on top of 4.5m vent shaft.
Not forgetting they will have to remove the plug in a clever way without doing damage to the surface vent installation.
The evasee is a giant 90 degree bend with a diam. of 4.5m. So lift the plug out and drop evasee in with same crane ...and bolt up.
One hour max if prep done right.
Bring the right spanners.

Yes there isnt much to vary. Looking at their schematics they will have vent doors in to control air flow.
Air men and materials always go in the same way so people always in fresh air.
Flow surveys are carried out using anenometres on a regular basis (seen in that video on the big American mine) and seals on vent doors checked by Supervisors on entry daily.
Always except in emergency (ie fire fighting or control) fresh air intake, men and materials in same route ...... in our case ...... decline.
If it ain't working someone has left a vent door open !!“

20th March 2022

This is your reporter Bamps live from the end of the new Decline.
Today is an historic moment when the face of the ore body is seen for the first time.
I’m sat with the driver of the drill machine waiting for the clearance to start the drilling

It’s a computer guided double boom driller and there’s the green light and off we go. This is absolutely amazing watching these booms moving between that drill positions and it’s so quiet in here.
Well that’s done the machines now backing out the way into one of the stockpile off shoots while the blasting takes place.
The driller tells me he’s gone in about 6m but after blasting it will be about 4m in.
We vacate the Decline while the blasting is carried out.
Boom!
A few hours later I’m in the cab of a bogger a Sandvik Lh621 a front loader with an 8m cubed bucket , that’s the size of a tipper wagon back home.
The scene at the end is a chaotic mass of rubble around 275 ton about 4m in to the concreted breccia , it’s thinnest point in this zone, only another 6m to the High grade ore.
The bogger scoops up a load and reverses into the stockpile and puts the first of 3-4 bucket fulls into the Sandvik TH 663 which take around 63 tons back to the surface

There’s 4 or 5 of these truck fulls to be removed for every 4m and they are expecting about 23oz of gold in the first 4m.
There’s 2 of these monster trucks on turn around and working 24 hours, the newest ones of these I’m told by the driver is that it is automated and doesn’t have to vacate the tunnel while the blast dust clears.
Well that’s the end of my shift I’m catching the last truck back to the surface.

You have gone to the dark side and opted for a takeover.
Stop and think for a while, what would happen to the cash, say half given back to share holders the rest swallowed up in drilling trying to find another one.
We would have no bankable assets to acquire additional funding.
If we do find another Havieron or even a half Havieron to get it to mining could be 10 years or more, too long for many on here including me.

I would prefer to see this out to mining and have fun on the way.

You sound as if you have not grasped the significance of what is happening.
The Decline is heading for our most valuable zone of ore. They need sample loads of ore to send to Telfer so the production train can be prepared ready for the large amounts due to come.
By sample ore that’s not one or two trucks that’s 10,000-20,000 tons and they won’t stop they will carry on.
The Decline can take upto 2m tons per annum.
The PFS in September will be issued to the authorities for approvals so no problem there.

What’s your problem?

They can’t keep excavating without ventilation , keep an eye out for the vent shaft commencing.
A 1.2m shaft escape way will probably be used as a temporary fan with a 30” fan installed while the larger 4.5m shaft for the evasee fan is constructed.
Electricity for fans? Maybe diesel to start with.

Besides these works as the spiral goes down further shafts will be raise bored to keep venting lower down.
Also secondary fan system in the roof of the tunnel will be installed following the decline downwards.

8m per shift is a big ask with the angle of the dip going down away from the machines ie harder to pick up.

Other issues include the clay content in the siltstones
The highly saline water content on the bottom straight has to be pumped to the evaporation ponds still being built.

Conservatively I think they will be looking at the ore in May but really happy if it’s earlier.

First ore out is so important and earlier the better.

Goliath MMI survey
This target has the most significant anomalism according to the new MMI data. Goliath is spatially coincident with a broad Ce, Cu, Au, Fe, La, Pb, Ag, Sn, Zn surface MMI response. This is a very similar geochemical signature to Havieron
