I currently own a RR and have owned supercars and I'm on here.
you can be angry about the negative posts. however they are the facts. the debt, court case, recession ,parts shortages, cashflow issues, potential relegation to aim etc.
they are published in the company reports as well as respectable news outlets.
PS* ive been shorting this and have made great profits.
* if the price goes up I do not make a loss unless I liquidate it. (not even a paperless below £10

don't see how management are going to turn the debt situation around, haven't managed it in a booming economy .how can they do this in a recession?

share price needsa to be above 500 ish to save Aston from being removed from FTSE and becoming an AIM share , triggering funds to auto sell.. next reshuffle in September.

H1 results date not listed on website. last year's was 28th July. a yone got a firm date ? I would expect significant price movement if they confirm what we all know to be true .

why would I lie about shorting ? shooters are hated here.
before I mentioned I had shorted, when posted that the company was hugely novervalued due to its net debt . people called me a shorter as an insult.
the price has shot up today. I don't believe it is without reason and it could go higher. however , I strongly believe it will plummet again due the desperate financial position the company are in so I will cost average to my short over time .

I hope some holdersamaged to sell out o such a strong day and recoup some of their losses

Aston has been extremely profitable . plenty more profit to be made . volitility will likely increase bewteen now and next financial report /notice of dilution.
I partially closed below 400 to crystalise some profits.
opened more shorts iite now back to 450.
will increase position if it goes above 500

thank you for taking the time to reply. I agree that the rate of decline should me muchower now .(however I'm keeping my shorts open as I think significant dilution will need to occur , bar some miraculous deal )

yes aml mcap is 460 mil automatic FTSE exit is at 499mill. the next snapshot is end of August /start sept. funds will have to sell out innhufe numbers if it does get relegated

how is it a sensible opinion? whilst I'd agree that falcon is clearly an intelligent and articulate poster.sensible opinion it is not.

basic arithmetic clearly shows why the share price has dropped.comparsion of Aston's fundamentals to other companies in the index showed it was one of the most overvalued and risky shares in the index
as keen amatuer investor I noticed six months ago and I was very late to the game. never the less I could see it was the perfect company to short , and my spreadbet account is looking very healthy beacuse of it.

AM isn't following the FTSE.
The FTSE250 has lost 20 percent, whilst Aston a dismal 80 per cent of its value.

the reason for this is quite simple:

ive made huge profits last few months putting a short spreadbet on this. (the dire numbers gave me the confidence to open a larger position )
I've still got an open position. but smaller due to trailing stoploss
really hoping for a spike in share price before next results so I can increase size of my short.

I'm shorting as the share price is way to high considering the current net debt , net cash and cashflow. Am urgently need a cash injection to continue and the methods they have to do this will lose the price
Im a long term investor building up shares ISAs nicwly for an early retirement. I'd buy aston Martin shares when they are good value for money and I nearly bought a vantage but went for a noble instead.

Not the same. Am has humongous net debt!
Am has negative cashflow.

How do you service debt payments and build a business with the above? Raise more cash. IE placement thus dilution likely coming

One of my shorts has hit at £2 profit

Still have £10 per point openwd at 1287. Looking to exit at 500 but have a trailing stop loss so may get stopped out if it get back to 800 at about £5k tax free profit

Will short again on a spike.

I shorted a spreadsheet on this from about 1300 last month. In great profit now. Trailing stop set can see it going down to 500/600 unkes anything changes.
I love the company , love the cars , but unfortunately the numbers speak for themselves. I really hope they turn things around and ncan get buying again but if you can't make money in a long bull run ,when can you ? We haven't had a recession for ages. They need to be in a good position beofrr the next one
