Whats the point in them giving specific dates? They mean nothing to them. They have no project time frame. They just wing it day to day it seems.

If they knew when the next app version was due to release they should do a big song and dance about it, get people psyched for the launch. They won't though. It will just become available to download. Watch this space.

Which is why it is functioning 'exactly' like a pre paid credit card. They top up just like we top up tally. Only difference is they link the deposit to the spot price by some mechanism.

Random thought. What if all tally is currently is a standard prepaid card offering that they manually enter a spot price of gold to link the money to when they move the cash into it. Then the account tracks gold price using some form of look-up. When you buy something it knows how much to deduct based on the initial value entered and the difference when it was spent.

Maybe the delay for app 2 is that they're actually trying to get a bank account to work live with a gold price? I don't think tally has been in development very long at all. I think the above reasoning is likely closer to the truth than most want to admit.

But that chat confirms what I was saying, that we don't current have unique sort/acc numbers as present hence why we use that pooled account, but would need our own for faster payments to work.

i have never seen any reference to individual account details apart from IBAN?

As for progress I really wish they were more upfront about where they are at, what the holdups are etc. Releasing patch notes as it were would go quite a way to explain delays and sticking points instead of always quietly missing targets. Cant see how hard integration would be if they are able to assign a tally value from spot gold when they manual transfer the fiat in, why cant it be done automatically? What is the process? Are they manually setting the spot rate at time of transfer??

Well they are saying they will be merging tally with faster payments service - which would mean to me we would all need unique sort/account numbers. Then we really are topping up our tally account. At the moment its more like a top up credit card in action.

The only direct payment method is to send to IBAN number for Euro payments.

They arent being quite honest with how it all works tbh - I think they are winging it a bit.

Was very surprised when I found out the development was all outsourced! Really should be in house for something like this. Would have been far quicker and better managed.

All very boring while waiting for the long awaited V2 - enough time wasted. App needs to launch, crowdfund then IPO one after the other, bang bang bang. Tally loves to procrastinate. Software is never finished, never complete. Always something to tweak, to iron out, to add to. Not sure they get this premise. Either that or the outsource company is just fleecing them for more payments? Best hope they are paid on results and not time spent.

Yeah payments are instant at whatever rate is at that moment. No issues there. It's just the random delays to deposit that's annoying. If you knew it was done say at 8am, 11am,1pm then 4pm you could time your drops. Recently it's anytime and sometimes once a day!

Roll on v2. If instant deposits aren't in the new version then it will be a serious letdown

I think it's more a matter of them getting round to it. They have said they do batches throughout the day, but there aren't any set times, it's random, so not a clocked process. They also do it there and then if you get onto them via email etc, so it's pretty much their whim as when it gets done. It's frustrating but hopefully new app will get rid of all that.

There does seem to be a bit of a margin on the spot price too when you look back on charts at SP at the time they deposit tally into account. Always seems to be about 0.01/0.02 above the price at the time. Negligible and not noticeable but would make them some money in volume.

I'm annoyed with how long it takes to deposit money into it.

Past few days I have been adding and it takes so long I end up paying a premium to when I wanted to. Today took the ****. Dropped money across early morning only to watch gold rise and guess what? Yup. They add it into tally just at the highest spike of the day!!! Cost me a percent or so to what it is now.

It's bloody annoying as they said on the faqs that currently deposits are marked against the spot price when deposit is made so don't lose out, but that's *******s. It's at whatever price it's an when they bother to do the deposit run. Costing me money. They should be monitoring the bank account regularly not random times of day!

I just don't blow smoke up the ass of the company without reason. Hope it not. Where credit is due it's given. But so is criticism, and unfortunately Lion/tally do things in a way that draws the latter more often than former.

And nothing wrong with the statement at all, just I dont outright troll the share for no reason unlike Pic. I hold shares and want my money back. It's that simple.

Anyhow it's nothing but twiddle thumbs time now waiting for V2 then see what is next.

I'm negative due to all the delays and don't have much faith in anything the BoD come out with but still hope to get my money back out of this. I don't just talk the share down without reason.

You will recall I was positive from the RNS a few months back that had others like FC ready to throw in the towel, and that was because I wasn't all hyped up by the company's words but saw the delays coming, but was impressed with a specific date given.

As time went on it was clear it wasn't going to be happening and again there came the delay RNS.

I'm negative because the company gives me no reason to sing it's praises, not negative just to be a prick.
