The Telegraph seems to be trying to trash talk the company but I’m pretty sure that Katya wouldn’t be backing Harl if there were doubts. Her rep is worth more than a few bob before stepping down I think.

There are more yards than just Arnish to keep going and we haven’t yet shown that we are capable of making any sort of return on the investment made so far. Regarding IM, There were several interested parties in helping to develop the gas caverns before the disasters of the ML became apparent. The expertise is still available. If, and whomsoever partnered with the development may well provide gas trading expertise also. All conjecture of course, as is all of the speculative opinions on the board. Only time will tell, though its encouraging to see the involvement of Kave and Katya.

Not much in the way of qualification there Nobby, why? Even with a near equal partner it would be better imo than pouring cash into the yards for what return? Energy is the way to go as far as I can see.

Si, It would mainly be just a paper exercise. I, along with many others, suspect that Harl is undervalued. If the JR finds in favour of the IM project, I believe that alone has a value of £50m before any further work is undertaken. Sometimes the sum of the parts is far more valuable than the parent and this may be a way of unlocking the potential .

Stokey12. Good thinking and good idea. Better imo than another placing. It’s distinctly possible that this could boost the sp rather than the usual plunge. Given that Harl are worth only £20m currently, what value might the subsidiary have? If it went ahead that could also pave the way for the share buy back that Lottie 123 has suggested sending timely messages of intent to the investing industry. I’m not normally an advocate for bbs but this instance could prove fruitful imo.

And in six weeks we’ll have been H&W for 1year. Not a directors transaction to be seen so far.

Did we ever replace John Petticrew at Belfast? I don’t recall any appointment and no one is in the “ meet the team” page of the H&W blurb.

There is frequent talk about there being a massive seller. However TR1s are in scant supply. In the last few months we’ve had notice of KS’ holdings and notification of Killick crossing in each direction. No short positions have been declared. So who is the mysterious holder who leaves no trace? Anyone?

I have been intrigued by KS’ holding since it’s declaration and this appointment piece fits the jigsaw nicely. However the question of what is the purpose of the Ned is not clear to me, though immeasurably welcome. Something to mull over the coming weeks.
Given her history as noted I would expect something notable in the next twelve months. Perhaps she will assist in achieving main market status too!

Hello sailor:-) your views and statements are not without merit. However, it’s only a few days since JW said that we would be able to keep the majority, if not all of the equity in the IM.
Surely not even JW could make such an assertion and then plot to spin the caverns out of the company? His credibility would suffer terminally in my view (fwiw)

Morning’ Jabido, there’s just a little point I wanted to clear with you about the note from JW.
Did HE say that Harl were in a closed period? From my understanding the closed period ends with the release of preliminary results as long as they contain the financials.

It’s not even certain to be built!. There’s very little support for it currently especially considering the economic climate.

Since April we’ve had a series of lower tops and lower bottoms amidst muted trade volumes. Now we’ve got a little up tick but this time accompanied by volumes that are the highest since the ML was announced in Oct. Last year. It’ll be interesting to see if this rally has longer legs and breaks the sequence of unfortunate events we’ve seen since April.
