I am keeping my shares, but need to admit it is a little disappointing, the divi cut. It feels like we are going backwards.
But granted, its required to fund new projects and investments, which will hopefully increase revenues and future profits.

I wouldn't buy more, but I will keep my holding and collect divis indefinitely. Way better than a savings account, and at this sp I can't see much downside.

Honestly cannot understand how this company is not awash with cash. To think what they charged us for some gas diversion works. Basic works, in and out. Outrageous cost. But there is no point in arguing with them. It is what it is. Same with Cadent.

Happy for divis to be cut in return for future growth.
Growth is necessary to maintain rising dividend.

It would most sense to return cash to shareholders now via a special divi, then use the resultant SP drop to hoover up cheaper shares in the buyback.
They are doing it back to front. They are buying expensive shares now, and then drop the sp later when the divi goes ex.

I'd prefer it if the company kept it and put it to good use. But if they aren't going to do anything with it, it might as well be in my investment isa earning other dividends.

Might Lloyds not need the cash normally dedicated to divi payments to expand on their new property endeavours?

Wow CaneToad, hold your horses. I think it is absolutely right that company valuations are assessed diligently and purchases are made based on the value of the business and not just blindly bought into on the back of an upwards trend or jam tomorrow garbage. That is exactly what causes bubbles.

Hmm they seem to struggle to improve the numbers mined month to month.
