No one has died from Omicron despite it being detected in 38 countries, WHO reveals.

Sounds like the beginning of the end for covid.

I am much more optimistic about Lloyd's and the wider market than many here. If you think about it, what does covid affect really? Hospitality and travel. Is not everything else business as usual?
Apart from having to wear a poxy mask in the shop, how else does it affect us?

Those who are a vaccinated now, woul not have traveled anyway. I say that as someone who only got vaccinated to be able to travel. I flew to Italy in September. But I would not have had the vaccine if it weren't for the trip.
Meaning that people who didn't get vaccinated by now, were never going to travel anyway.

£7 plus seems to be analysts concensus. Anyone who thinks omicron is not priced in by now must be deluded. Covid in my opinion is a relic of the past. We have learned to live with it. Plenty of ezj flight landing and departing from Luton today. Just check the Luton Airport website. Its there for everyone to see. Lots of wizz and Ryanair flights also.
The sky's are teeming with flights and easyjet is a large proportion of this earning revenue.

Yawn, I couldn't even be bothered to read your whole diatribe panther. But the bottom line is that you think the market is so inefficient, it hasn't even priced in the current state of affairs. And you also think you know better than the analysts at deutsche bank, JPMorgan, and many others. Give me a break. Spare yourself the lengthy posts. Most don't read a quarter of them.

2021 loss is priced in, and I suspect so are any losses in q1 22. Remember, market cap is loosely based on 10 year earnings. 10 years!! The last 2 years and 2022 are merely a blip in this timeframe. Markets are forward looking, not backwards. The past is the past. Look at the bright future. Perfectly set up to tak advantage of pent up demand and beyond.

All companies burn cash. Its called cost of sales.

I disagree. I think the shares are undervalued because when we get out of this covid scam, there will be millions of people are going to scramble to get on a plane and get away for holidays. The pent up demand is extreme.

As a rule of thumb variants are milder. If this is the case for omicron and it becomes the dominant variant, this could be very good news indeed. Delta was milder than beta.

With any luck this new variant is even milder than delta and becomes the prevalent version.

You seem to have forgotten that we did not have a vaccine then and deaths were much higher.

Conversely, we now have a vaccine, most are double jabbed, and deaths are multiples lower. You are not comparing apples with apples.

Press conference basically business as usual, as before, no change. Possibly huge rally on Monday is people see sense. The new variant changes nothing.
