I think after cutting the divi from an admittedly very generous level due to a bumper year to a very mediocre level, this wont require much scrutiny. This is well covered many times over.
Happy days if the SP goes down further as the divi only gets better and I am in the accumulation phase again.

No I dont agree with you. The share price movement cannot directly be traced back to the consolidation. Other airline shares fell similar amount during the same period. The consolidation by itself does not affect the MC! Its so simple, a child would understand it, but obviously not you.

Anyway is there a reason you hold shares in a company that according to you has "massive debt" and little prospect of a growing share price? Do you like punishing yourself?

And again Masaimara if you are trying to recoup your loses, with such a gloomy outlook you have on tui, maybe you should cut your loses and move on to another share. Clearly you think your loses here will grow, so it makes no sense holding on to this share for you.

You understand that one share is now worth as much as 10 share before the consolidation. You don't get as many shares for your money, but they are worth more. The net effect is zero. The debt level in this basic concept has no relevance whatsoever.

Sorry we can't all be as rich as you strap. I feel as a lesser person now that you have pitied my small stake in tui. I hope you are happy now.

But the holdings are small enough for me not to worry about weekly or monthly movements. My investment horizon for these shares is 10 to 20 years.

Masaimara have you sold you as you are so scared about the economy? How many are you holding?

How is this apparent observation backed up. I don't know any 25 year olds owning 10 houses. At best, one, if they have done well.

Mike, I think you are still fairly new to this, and Id suggest you do the research my friend.
Smarter people than me have said you should be buying when the is fear and sell when there is greed.
You my friend are someone who is displaying a healthy amount of fear. I like that because when people are fearful and cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel, well that's the perfect time to buy.
But let me tell you also that nothing you or I say on this forum is going to move the sp. Bear this in mind.

Hence why the sp has already dropped to this level, which is already too low but will catch up. The market is pricing for the next 5 to 10 years, not next week.

I don't buy the affordability argument. Go out on the high streets, the supermarkets, clothes shops. People are buying crap left right and centre. People are holidaying like it's going out of fashion. The cost of living crisis affects only those who could not afford a home to start with. The will be a swift rebound because people will do anything to own their home. The new normal has already sunk in. PSN and tw sp have fallen to price this in already and then some.

The sp is down from 3200p to just over a £1 and you think a downturn is not backed in at this stage.
The horse is going to bolt soon and you will likely miss your entry then.
