I don't expect you to speak but it would be nice if you were able to conjure up a useful post.
Your timing with that comment was so absurd as to be hilarius - perhaps a future in shorts awaits.
Any attempted riposte and especially one so crass is completely wasted on me.
'I was just 'wondering', fella. You didn't make this happen, did you? It was all down to sentiment getting behind a brilliant company. So my advise to you, is to reinvest your 'hard earned gains' in bdev. And you could repeat a pattern like wot I have done over the last 15 years... without depending on a useless predictor chart, and just relying on an erratic crystal ball... Now don't go off with your inflated ego down to the Bricklayers arms tonight and spend all this cash wot you haven't yet got on the Trades... So calm down fella - it's not millions you've scooped up here today like wot some people have.'
Oh dear and I though you may just take the exposure of your unbelievably mistimed and poorly judged public comment on the chin, as I did my first sale at a paultry £6.35:-)
Please just confirm that your post was aimed at me before I comment further.
'I wonder how many investors on here intend playing the 'long game'... waiting for this to rise to 696 - Jefferies predicational (hold) rating? And I wonder how many will succumb along the way and sell short, and kick themselves.'
Ummhhh - yes I wondered that for a little less than 3 hours:-)
Don't you wish you had crystal balls or a chart that was in any way useful?
The vast majority of people on this forum will be long term holders.
Long term holders of BDEV. have seen the share rise almost 15% from the low of yesterday with a 36.8p dividend to be paid early next month.
Shorting is never popular with long term holders and utterly repellant to some so begs the question why any shorter would bother posting, particularly when our substantial gain is likely their loss.
Today has been a really good one for me and other holders, not just of BDEV but a number of Brexit sensitive shares, so the very last place for a shorter to decide to raise his head above the parapet.
It is really about making money but I defy any chart that predicted an 84p(almost 15%) rise in 24 hours - now that would have been clever.
Anyone buying at £5.70 made the best decision. Shorting today may be a good move if the Brexit deal idea falls away again - we should know in a matter of days.
'currently 652p - im short.'
Umhh - OK was the short started at 652? Be interesting to see how that idea progresses:-)
I sold a third of my long held shares at £6.35 today and well pleased.
Personally hoping for a no deal brexit and that is what any second referendum should be about - deal or no deal.
Personal losses on property and investments, acceptable collateral damage for what I believe is good for the country.
It seems the Irish are trying to support the UK in some sort of deal which would seem to be something to do with housebuilders and associated rises today.
There was some money to be made here on a sale at 2.5p and buy back below 2.3p.
HUR. even more money - buy on the drop at 42- 43p and sell a week or so later on 20% profit. Now back down at 45p again. Unfortunatley I have held my AAU throughout and ignored the advice of a friend to trade HUR. A little more positive movement today after sells sweeped up but would like to see 2.5p as a secure stop.
Don't get it - why the drop of nearly 5%? Bought it's own shares for cancellation yesterday - surely that is not the reason.
I have also held a few from the start and added along the way. We tend to forget how much of a dog this share was for more than a year dropping from around 5.20 to recent all time lows of around 3.80. against the market . So tempted to sell to cut losses at the time but what a turnaround with new all time high SP in an otherwise depressed market. a disappointing drop today against the market again but hey ho.
Easy to upgrade the Porsche or sell it if things go wrong. Also nice to lock it away in the garage until you feel like waking it up. Great to see this company getting its ac together at last. Until the last month or so owning these shares has been a nightmare. Brief opportunity to sell a a really good price today but with market recovery and shorters out we could see that bettered very soon
Yes, it is the recent strengthening of sterling that has caused the SP falls.
Strange - copper recovered and some - ANTO still going down - perhaps something I am missing, exchange rates?
0.452 to sell and 0.464 to buy Looks to be stabilising at this level for a moment or 2
Morning Jonjo If there were a direct correlation we would need some Serious, Serious negativity to get this share up 400% or so. What has happened to Mr. Williams? - seems to have disappeared.
Jonjo - I am begging you, please can normal service be resumed:-) When you were being negative about Tenon the share price rose over 50%. Since you have mellowed somewhat and Mr Williams added positive comment together with a non existent positive announcement, the share price has tanked. As I previously stated my own involvement with this share is one of amusement as my financial and personal investments have been written off. Having said that the recent rise that occurred before the even more recent fall did seem to be heading somewhere interesting for a while.
I wish he didn't have a very good point!!
