I'm starting to think that the Electric Vehicle promotion ( often through subsidies and legislation ) is a strategy to keep the oil price down and prevent a recession and panic. I read recently we have 150 years of coal left and only 50 years of oil. What really took the biscuit for me was the press releases about commercial electric passenger jets only being 10 years away ! ( the big problem there is power to weight )
Then then there is the shale myth its uneconomical ( and you can't use shale to make jet fuel )

You've got to wonder with Brent absolutely flying today why someone would sell 490500 shares just as Brent hit $79.39
I noticed the bid and ask changed for that trade only to 43.40 43.50 from 43.35 43.40 then back again ?

Lots of bullish oil news today but could this be the biggest driver

They shorted all housebuilders, As we have a lower MCap than say BDEV the percentage short is higher but the amount in millions is much less than BDEV shorts. I'm starting to wonder if it is just a bet on a hard chaotic brexit which would likely cause a sharp sell off in most stocks particularly house builders ?

Can you explain why you think barriers to entry are low ? Transport, high st presence, name/ reputation, 24hr call out, storage, competent staff ( a job that I'm sure is not for all and not particularly well paid, although we pay staff more than competition )

Oil demand will not fall ( recession might cause a temporary fall ) but how do you think India and China are going to start using less Oil ?

Your right Tesla is a very risky short, but it is in serious trouble. In my conspiracy theory views it has government backing USA and Saudi.
I hope everyone here realises that there is NO viable alternative to Oil as fuel transportation as yet ( or ever ) !

Because the closing price was higher than the price for most of the day everything under 4.95ish will show as a sell

Well that sounds like an algo is set to sell. Could be a shorter or just someone with a sophisticated sell order running.

As I've said before still no holdings RNS's or short positions above 0.5% Why wasn't this shorted heavily by Hedge Funds after the 2nd August if Baimskaya was such an obvious negative ?

Looks like 2.60 has held but as I said I think we need to see 2.73 before for a bullish Copper signal

Chartist2, I guess some people use different methodologies. Can we talk about the Copper chart please as I think it could be more telling for Kaz's fortunes. I think we need to see 2.73 Then 2.81 for the gap up to 3.0 again.

The EIA is likely to report a draw so POO will pass $74 Brent.
Do you think they will announce the impeachment of Trump today ? then POO would go down.
What are your charts telling you about Copper ?

Interim results there tomorrow so I guess we are hoping for a mention.. and some progress. Might explain the 500k buy yesterday.

He might have been wrong with his exit point but my bet is he was right with his analysis.
