Ok I don't disagree with any of that, but does MBNA not count as expansion ?
I think they didn't want to rock the boat with the PPI , the whole thing was a complete fiasco if they played hard ball more fines could result.
I am puzzled as to why they are bothering with Schroders, why not take it in house do they not think they can match Schroders performance, I see their UK absolute return made 24 % cumulative over 5 years !

Except electric cars aren't currently profitable to the manufacturers ( yet ) and their new battery factory is 6 months behind on the build.

To be honest they've not really been 'selling' many cars at all as they are mostly on PCP or PCH deals thease days.
JLR have been expanding production, spending and building new factories like mad to keep up with Emerging market demand... anyone see a problem there ?

Yes I heard that banks aren't allowed to prop trade anymore although I've noticed something a little interesting with Blackrock Wilmington recently on ( CEY and CRST ) increasing holdings by say 1% then off loading around half a percent or just under, could this be a loading technique or are they prop trading ?

24th most shorted stock going by the reported numbers over 0.5% I would suspect a 6% short would put us a lot lot lower than 24th spot.

I don't ignore shorters but I think Ocado ( over 20% short ) was number 5 not so long ago, and Premier Oil ( well over 15% short ) was in the top 10 ( Ocado up 74 % Premier now up over 100% in 6 months )

Don't sell yourself short, even the hedge funds get it spectacularly wrong, I read somewhere over 700 closed last year.

Total stock on loan was down to 11.05% end Sept 18 from 13.56% end Aug 18.

Make no mistake the shorters are closing here. 2.51% in a month is quite a clip, that's just over £23,000,000 of stock bought back !

Interestingly.. if your sad like me, the total stock on loan here is very close to the short positions over 0.5% it was 5.95% at end Aug and 5.9% end Sept 18.

I say this as there is usually quite a disparity between the total short positions and those reported above 0.5%
Less than 6% total short is not a very high short position INMHO

The modus operandi is there again. I still can't believe he spent so long intelligently and eloquently arguing that PMO was in trouble. Fast forward to today a mere 6 months on and its over 100% up on a value he argued was far too high !

This is one of those 'safe' dividend paying stocks like the Utilities you buy when the bull market is over.

I think its likely that Tesla is backed by the FED so I would be a little wary shorting it until the end is well an truely in sight.

Also for vehicles total power losses using electric from power station to end vehicle are approx 90% where as Diesel is only 30 % including drivetrain losses, lifting, refining and transportation. Energy density per KG is so much higher.
