The point is Brexit has massively increased uncertainty so most are holding off on property purchases ( for now ) Brexit has also slammed the pound so materials and labour costs are up, skilled workers from EU are less likely to want to work here and Brits don't want to do a proper job so there is a skills shortage.

Perhaps I am missing something but what is wrong with implementing a border like the EU insist on but then have no staff or checks what so ever.
There is a Swiss/ France border I know on one of the quieter roads where you just drive through.. sometimes its not even staffed.
I propose the Nothern Ireland border check points be made out of paper mashe or polystryrene for added effect !

I think the pro shorting argument is that it keeps management on their toes but in reality I think its just about making money and costs hard working people their Jobs.
Read my previous post re total stock on loan, some shorters are already closing while others tighten down the screws !

Golds not even broken out of its downtrend can't even break $1200 ! This market is not a market.
I see copper is still above the recent low so I think no need to panic just yet.
Brents over $82 and Fevertree is up nearly 5% with a PE of only 66 ! I guess we all need a G & T

I think Tobacco is a bit more one dimensional, and there IS a viable alternative ie, vapes, niccotine replacement or just quit.
I found it really hard to quit the smokes but I know I can't quit oil and neither can the rest of the world.
The green narrative is fine and clean air in cities is needed but there is no way to replace our dependence on oil.
Electric cars are over 100 years old and Lithium batteries are close to 50 years old !
The main problem I see with electric is the energy loses from generating to end use. For Gasoline / Diesel total energy losses are estimated to be 70% in electric energy losses are 90%
Besides there are not enough Rare Earth Minerals in the world to replace the 2 billion ICE vehicles that currently exist.

I will be buying some more CAKE when they get relisted if the price is right. Not quite sure whats gone on there but its a good company.
