How is it ramping pish. Most here only want the price to go back to where it should be. This is a real British company with real jobs, the buyers here have put in their hard earned and are supporting this, or trying to. If you've got a problem with that then you are a traitor to your country.

Thanks for that Mark, I believe the Midlands ( on Land Reg ) has just stopped increasing. Some areas in London have been decreasing for the past 2 years. It looks at the moment like this trend might have stopped.
Apparently there is approx 30,000 luxury apartments in London available right now. I would say about 600k upwards 800k + for something nice 1.5m + for something really nice. Hedgefunds are lending to those developers as the banks won't. I find this all rather interesting what could be going on here.

I'm fully on board with 650. My point is I think the Hardman research is flawed and much more negative than the real picture. If it was done by the intern then thats understandable.

Have you any thoughts on why the hedgefunds are shorting housebuilders ( especially in the South East ) yet lending to big overpriced developments in London ?

Really appreciate that link to the Hardman research. Was really good to see all of the housebuilders compared in such a fashion.
A few things in there don't inspire me with confidence in the analyst. RPI ( is false ) CPI ( also false ) Nationwide, Halifax figures are only on their own mortgages ( what about all the other lenders ) Rightmove ( obviously only asking prices so more of a sentiment guage ) Then he talks about finances in football ( financially about as far away from the real world as you can get. He mentions Bank of England but no mention of Lang Registry ?
What about mortgage free foreign money and downsizers. This research has ignored over 33% of the whole market.
Heres an interesting bit from Nationwide 'A third of properties, 33.2 per cent, are now mortgage-free while 30.4 per cent are lived in by people still paying off home loans.

Cash buyers such as buy-to-let investors and older down-sizers with money to spare are driving the trend, according to the Nationwide Building Society.

I think he means a 'stock' thats where the confusion arises. Besides he doesn't hold any PMO so its difficult to sell unless hes a pro shorter...which he may well be.

In 2013 I notice Ryanair wanted to tie up with Flybe The EU blocked the takeover of Aer Lingus the bid price was £596.7m. They could have Flybe now for £59m !

Turnover indicates a size of the business, another owner or different management can attribute a value in buying that number of customers. I would think your friends with £90m in the bank know this. Would your friends with £90m in private accounts consider selling the same private account for £40m as thats what could be on sale here.

I hear ya. I noticed Aberforth underperformed the index over the last 3 years so with that sort of paid for professional investment performance I think I will buy what they are selling !

I know what were they thinking shorting CRST with the valuation so low. Good Divi, Cash and Landbank worth well above market cap ! The rest are going to panic when the first few start to close and we pass 400p again.

Blackrock's short is only just over 1% its tiny and knowing what they are like they will close.
Its the other shorts that will make this move when / if they close.
