BTFATH1, Don't worry about people like that, if he was 'short' like he says he must mean a spread bet or a retail CFD with one of the 'bookies' that call themselves brokers. Private individuals don't have access to stock on loan.
Easyjet passenger numbers were up 1 million on 2017 But I've only got Flybe which so far I've lost a grand on. They have almost all fuel hedged at $607 per ton for the next 2 years so no dramas for now.
Under the takeover rules if Stobart were to bid they cannot bid less than the highest price they paid for stock in the last 12 months. This price was 47p
In my view HSBC are being WAY too cautious with their 20p target.
I'm massively bullish on Oil but the big worry at the moment is the price to Emerging markets. I reckon a bit more downward pressure yet, some good debate on Oil Price forums on this. Enquest RKH and Premier holding up well at the moment.. but for how long ?
10% up today lots of buying but IIs were offloading. 10% stock out on loan on Euroclear end OCT 18 so lots to close ! Anyone else think Stobart might have been shorting after their take over attempt ?
Yes it may well be just that after hours its almost impossible to tell what a trade was the order could even be a day or so old and being filled by a Market Maker. Their are a lot of shorts here and when they see this rising they will probably want to close and take profits.
I think its a positive that as you say the 10 year old aircraft would be difficult to sell as it mean the lendor won't be wanting to sell the assets. Do you know who the lendors are by any chance ?
Yes Lloyds do that too, I'm thinking of taking some pictures of those massive Lottery winners cheques trying to pay them into my account. Do you think it could work ?
These professional investors bought them at 40p+ so if they want to sell them to us at 10p good for them. For every seller there is a buyer and who is buying all these ? Over £3m is it just PIs I doubt it. They had over 24% at one point !
Well on the balance sheet Flybe value them at £290m and the bank is valuing them at least £148m as the debt here is secured on assets. Perhaps they are completely wrong ( its possible ) or perhaps £148m is VERY LITTLE to you ( also possible ) In which would you like to give me a loan to start a small Hedgefund ?
You do realize its only H1 results which are being reported on the 14th Nov. The (ahem) 'management' have already described that period as strong, its a later period they describe as weaker which will not be in the scope of the H1 results.
I'm not doubting you or your experience, could you enlighten everyone as to why flybe wouldn't be a good fit with DART. Do you think DART wouldn't like to get one over on Stobart ?
